Quiet, clean, comfortable

Car camping in my Prius and wanted to stay in a non electric (ie tent) space for $12 but all the tent spaces didn’t seem to have anywhere flat to park. From what I could see, most of the nonelectric/tent were down at the bottom of slopes. Ended up paying the $18 and staying in a nice electric spot…

Nice, quiet out of the way campground

Eden Valley Refuge is a nice out of the way campground on the banks of Bear Creek. We stayed in the RV/Camper side of the campground which is on the other side of the road from the refuge and trails. We stayed in spot #10 with was nice and roomy. All 28 sites have electric and water. Some are a…

Great view of the river

The park is a little hard to find as the signs are not obvious and the road circles the greyhound track and a casino hotel.  Many of the sites have a riverview and a second line of sites back up to the woods.  There was evidence of wet conditions and the park had recently added some gravel to the…

Beautiful campground

We visited mid week in May. Campground was empty. Rented the one cabin they have $45 has heat/ac and a secluded view of the lake. Bathrooms were a walk and were porta potties. Full toilets and showers were other side of campground. Trees were awesome. If it wasn’t so cold that night we would of…

Quaint and Quiet

I’ve always loved this small quiet campground, even as a teenager. Though I notice that it has gained a lot of popularity in recent years! Campsites are well spread out to give you some privacy, but it still has that “campground feel” so expect neighbors. Though there is a dump station, I would not…

  • We were able to find a large, spacious sight.
  • Another picture of the space. we definitely had to be picky about spots in order to find something we’d be able to squeeze into
  • the river is beautiful and so are the trails

Beautiful, peaceful, friendly and helpful.

Beautiful surroundings of shade trees. The cleanest restrooms and showers I have ever seen. Can’t wait to return to the new area for RV’s and 5th wheels! Full hookups AND so reasonable priced. Staff was very friendly and helpful especially after a summer cross wind storm went through and took…

Very nice primitive campground

A very nice primitive campground. Most of the campsites are very spacious and not right on top of each other. We were in campsite #34 which had direct access to the Primrose trail, which is on top of one of the bluffs. The bathrooms were clean, but are pit toilets. While there's no water or…

What happened to the foliage?

We had hoped to spend the night here but when we got to the site it was or seemed like a flat vacant lot. There was electrical and water at each RV site but absolutely no privacy. The equestrian camp felt like there was a possibility but far from the bathroom. But many trails that start at the…

Great RV Site

Large RV site with electrical and water hook-up at each spot. Office is open Mon-Sat til 8 pm. They sell firewood. You are right on the Mississippi and that ain’t nothing to sneeze at. Tent camping also allowed. You are near the train tracks but the noise is barely discernible.

Quite ......except for the occasional trains. 🤔

It is a small camping area with the standard amenities. I like it because you can se the barge traffic on the river. I have camped here on more than several occasions.

Quiet Campground with Scenic Views of the Rock River

Very nice campground for weekend getaways. Less than two hours from western suburbans of Chicago. Just about a mile from Oregon where you can find a number of bars and restaurants. There are also walking trails within the campgrounds.
