And we do not have concrete pads we have gravel lots. Tent sites come with power and water(bring your own hose to fill water bottles/rinse dishes). We have a large group camping area for Boy/Girl Scouts & Biking groups that have water/power. We draw people from far and wide from all the states, even from foreign countries to enjoy the scenery of the beautiful, well known, Silver Comet Trail. Make sure to check out my video review below where I show you around some of the campground. This is much more of a mobile home or RV park than a campground since most of the people staying here are set up for long term residency rather than for a night or two. Additionally, it is right near downtown Atlanta so not exactly where I would want to spend the night if it wasn’t more of a home situation. If this is your purpose I would first check out the Atlanta West Campground down the street since it was significantly nicer in my opinion. This location seems mostly like a large parking lot where you can park and set up your site but there is not really any privacy or separation between different RVs. Only a couple miles away is Sweetwater State Park which is well worth a visit and has some wonderful hiking trails.

Battlefield Campground is an extremely convenient RV park located right of I-75 about 20 minutes south of Chattanooga. It is very easy to get to, but part of that convenience comes with an absence of quiet; the interstate runs directly beside the campground, and is visible from the storage sites across from sites 11-24.
This is an excellent place for long-term campers, and it includes a nice playground, a pool, and a camp store/clubhouse. We could not get close to the pool or playground as they were closed due to COVID-19, which was comforting that they are taking public safety seriously. Sites include 50 and 30 amp full service, and seven tent sites in the middle of the campground that also include electric. There are seven camping cabins spaced throughout the campground that have outside picnic tables and grills, and beds inside as well as electricity.
Most of the sites here are nicely wooded, and as the area is slightly hilly there are elevation changes between several rows of sites which allows for a little more privacy than many RV parks offer.
Downsides to this park are the highway noise, and the campground roads are paved but in need of maintenance; the road is eroded in a lot of places.
Upsides are the sites are shady and well landscaped, and there are great amenities for families looking to stay here for extended periods of time, as well as the proximity to Chattanooga, Chickamauga Battlefield, and Ringold/Ft. Oglethorpe.
LegendBattlefield Campground & RV park is locates right off the exit in Ringgold, Ga, right behind the Georgia Winery, so it is very close to Chattanooga. The campground seems to have a lot of long term guests, so I wouldn’t recommend it if you are looking for a relaxing retreat to the woods. The sites are very close to each other, and most of them were full when we stayed. We were on site #69, right across from the pool. The Campground does have some nice amenities like the pool, and playground, dog park, and the pavilion, which I’m not sure what this space is used for, but it was nicely furnished and could be used to host a party or something. The restrooms were exceptionally clean! The bathhouse located in the pavilion was very nice. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating. The location was convenient for us to get back and forth from Chattanooga, but I would only return out of necessity, as I prefer to be a little more secluded when I’m camping.

We stayed here for two nights on our way from Virginia to Florida. It is a very nice family friendly vacation resort rather than overnight stay. But we enjoyed all the amenities. We had a pave site full hookup pull thru with lake view. Very easy to get in and out, private and quiet, we had a picnic table, fire ring and bbq grill. I was most excited about drink cart every evening!! We were here on Monday and Tuesday, extremely quiet. Empty beach/restaurant area and beach bar. You will have to drive around the resort or rent a golf cart. They also have a tram from rv resort to water park. There is a one time $20 fee per vehicle to enter, pay at gate. The weather wasn’t the best, wish we could have used the boat ramp to launch our kayak.

LegendI stayed here long term for a couple of years while working in Atlanta (my house is 1.5 hours away so I stay in town when working). They have nightly sites and long term sites, a bathhouse, laundry, and the office staff are very nice. The sites have gravel which is nice. You are close to highway so you here some road noise but it’s still pretty quiet.
There’s a McDonald’s, 2 gas stations, Starbucks, kfc, smoothie king, and a Burger King just down the street so quick to eat food options are there.

Beautiful views at nearly every site! You can tell they are working on updating things and taking better care of the park this year. Sites have narrow parking areas but most have big outdoor living areas with fire pit and table. Then even off some long term parking. We loved that you could bring your boat and leave it docked at your site. Also great swimming areas!
GuideThis campground is very pretty, nice hiking. Park is on a man-made lake and there are Corps of Engineer campgrounds just down the road. When we were there much of the park was torn up and under constuction. It is not trailer friendly at all. Roads are very narrow and have steep drop offs on the sides. There is a new area with full hook-up and drive through sites which is adequate for any trailer or RV, but beware of the other parts of the park. We have a 30 foot fifth wheel and pickup.

All RV sites have a lake view. Full hook ups. State Park has a Ranger to check you in and gate is closed 10:30pm-7am. Reservations must be made online, set up user name, confirm thru your email and if your cell service is poor it can be tricky but well worth the work.

I've primitive tent camped several times here. #2 best primitive. #10 best hookup for lake views and access. 10 you need extra cords to reach electric box as it's at front of site. The 5 star reviews are perplexing. We're not new to RVing and have stayed in plenty of lovely mom& pop parks. This is a family owned campground, but it is basically a parking lot with hookups for people who live there long term. Our site was on the side of a road about 50 yards away from the Dump Station. It was referred to as a premium, pull through rather than what it is... a pull to the side of the road. There was no grass or picnic table. I'll post pictures that show the condition of our site and how close the spots are to one another. The pictures online and YouTube videos of this park are very deceiving. The grassy areas beside and between the lakes can only be accessed by walking though other camper's sites.
** Use caution navigating the park because the roads at the back have no way to turn around if you get back there.

LegendWe booked the very last sight open in this campground for a thur-sun tourney in Chattanooga. It was about a 20 minute drive to the fields from the campground even though it was in Georgia. There are very few campgrounds around this area so if you need to stay near Chattanooga book ahead of time. Campground had everything you need and showers and bathrooms were clean and always available. Most people staying in this campground looked to be staying long term. Sights were too close to eachother for my liking but a few sights back in the timber were spread out more. Nothing special about the campground at all but nothing to really complain about other than lack of privacy.
GuideWe had a large site in a new loop (orange) with views of East Lake and the side of Stone Mountain. Roads are nice and wide, easy to get in and out of the back in sites. Full hook up with cable. Camp store has reasonable prices for fire wood and ice.

We just picked up our travel trailer on 8/21 and had to give it a trial run. It was hard to find a place that allowed 1 night that still had reservations but based on positive feedback on the Georgia RV FB group I found this place. They have been open 5 weeks and half of it was under construction but it had no impact on the place. It is right along the Coosawattee River on Hwy 411. Sites are big and spread out OK. There are showers on site and a nice playground, and coming soon a real office and 20 more sites. Several full hook up, pull through, river front, etc. The owners are incredibly nice, helped me back in and gave great pointers. They also stopped by to check on everything just before dark.

Be cautious coming into the park, the bridge is very narrow! I lost a driver's side mirror on the drive in because a truck coming at me in the opposite direction hit mine with his.

Even though this trip was riddled with rain, it was still a great trip. We stayed in campsite 12 at the tent and trailer camping #1. Our site was very spacious; plenty of room for our trailer and setup; mostly level. We walked other camp grounds in the park and most of those sites were equally spacious and mostly level.
The park has plenty of things for the family to do for the summer: swimming in the lake, mini golf, and playground. All were well maintained. These were closed at the time of our visit in October. Walking trails, bike trails, and activities were plenty, we were just limited due to rain.
Short drive to Dalton, GA., and Ellijay, GA. for other sightseeing. Beautiful overlook before you get to the entrance of the park on main road.
When they say beware of bears, they mean it. We did not personally see them, but our camping friends did see a momma and 3 cubs.
Bathrooms were the best we’ve seen. The hosts kept them very clean. Speaking of the hosts; they were all so very nice and inviting.
Only complaints (not big ones for us) are cell service was spotty at best. You might can walk around and receive a text but might not can respond to it. Or you might get lucky enough to walk to a spot and make a call. Another complaint was no sewage at any site. Not a deal breaker for us. We will definitely be back.
TravelerHuge campground and you never have to leave the park for anything. Huge lake that you can not swim in. Bathhouses are nice. They have a lot of different loops from primitive all the way up to full hook up with cable tv and WiFi. The kids will never get bored at this park. They have a speaker system in the campgrounds that alert you when bad weather is on the way.

Absolutely love this RV Park. Been here about a half dozen times since 2020. Super clean, level spots (choice of pull in or back in paved or gravel spots), very friendly staff, sewer hookups at all camper sites, decent WiFi and cable also included. Also has store with camping supplies, pool, cabin rentals, propane, super clean shower and laundry facility too. Close to downtown Blue Ridge, Blue Ridge Lake, and Blairsville. Four lane highway all the way to the park from Atlanta. The highway noise can be a little much for those looking for an outdoor camping experience, but for glampers and regular Travel Trailers, this site is fantastic.
