One of the Better RV Resorts Out There

As our Brinkley G3500 is 13’ 8” high, we routed to miss a 13’ 7” bridge on a small portion of US-76 just off of US-411. Instead of taking the left turn onto US-76, we stayed on US-411 down to GA-136. We had followed the RV Life navigation, which routed us this way to avoid the low bridge. We were the first official check in for the Brinkley rally arriving around noon. We checked in and were escorted to pull through site H-48 with FHUs in the bottom Hawk level of this large campground (CG). The pull throughs in this part of the CG were plenty long enough for our 40’ toy hauler and F450 to include being able to put the patio down. The utilities are at the middle of the pad so you can adjust according to your needs. The water pressure was good at around 50 psi. From talking to other campers in this area, some had lower water pressure and took their regulators off. There are not a lot of mature trees so satellite was not a problem. We got 4 bars on Verizon and the CG WiFi was above average for a park of this size. We were near their nice sized dog park that has separate areas for large and small dogs. Their Welcome Center with a gift shop is very nice and they have super friendly customer service. There are a lot of amenities here such as pool(soon to be a second pool for kids), pickleball, propane, laundry, and curbside trash pickup. The owners of Talona Ridge continue to take inputs from RVers on how to improve the CG. There’s a plan to expand RV sites across the street primarily for smaller rigs. This was our second rally at this location and we would definitely come back for another rally or on our own.

Awesome Resort

We spent a week here and loved every minute of it! The pool was great and so was the Grand View Hall was just as good. Sights were level and very spacious. We stayed in "Hawk Valley" which is the lowest level and least expensive section. If we go back we will book an "Eagle Crest" sight because they have the best views.

No events as scheduled andlLack of communication

I'm deeply disappointed with the resort's lack of planning and execution of their advertised schedule of events. Despite listing happy hour, bingo, and a margarita cart on their itinerary, none of these activities took place as promised. What's even more frustrating is the absence of communication to inform guests about these cancellations. It's completely unacceptable to advertise amenities and then fail to deliver or notify guests about the changes. This level of mismanagement has truly affected my experience and perception of the resort.

Exceptional Campground

Check-in for the Vanleigh rally was efficiently done by the Talona Ridge staff. We were escorted to pull-through site F28 with FHUs. We were on a very nice end site with plenty of yard space where our rally friends gathered for evening fires. The back-ins in front of our site were a little tricky to get into but doable. This is a large campground(CG) with various levels of sites all being nicely spaced. Water pressure was good at about 55 psi. The CG Wifi was above average. There are no mature trees as this is a newer CG, so clear satellite shots. We got 4 bars on Verizon and T-Mobile. There are 3 levels/areas to this CG with the more premier sites on the top level however the downfall is if there’s wind there’s no wind block. The top level also has the swimming pool and hot tub area next to the clubhouse, with the plan for this to be the adult pool area once they complete the second pool on the middle level. We were on the middle level, which had a mixture of pull-throughs and back-ins. The lower level is also a mixture of pull-throughs and back-ins plus a nice-sized dog park. The CG was designed for RVs and well thought out. There are multiple laundry rooms on each level with two washers/two dryers in each building. The owners/management have their stuff together. We did not mind paying the price for this CG understanding that we are not luxury resort RVers. We wish we had more time to explore the area and will definitely stay here again when in the area.

Great and Clean Resort

We enjoyed our stay during Father’s Day weekend. It’s a beautiful resort and very clean. Many amenities geared towards adults. The staff is super friendly and make the stay more enjoyable. While there the staff would give us rides to the pool and even cared to bring our children kool aid pouches! They have food trucks that show up and entertainment. It’s a beautiful campground! My only negative thing was the booking/check in process. You do not get to pick your site. You get to pick what style of site but the exact site. This weekend we decided to drive two vehicles and go jeeping. Well we reserved a site large enough for our 32’ trailer and the site was just big enough. We had to park our truck in extra parking and park the Jeep sideways. The staff instructed us where to set up camp and we felt not much thought was given especially after being there and seeing many sites available in our section that would have fit our trailer and vehicles. It became a hassle having to go back to the truck to get other supplies. Still a nice setup. Just wished they let you pick sites or maybe considered what you had especially when they ask for the information in the forefront.
