Good, Good’n’Busy

This is such a convenient spot to camp! Tons of people camp here. The lake is nice but also just as busy.

Easy to back in, electric.

It’s Ok

The sites are nicely spread apart for the most part. The only real issue is the seemingly continuous parade of ATVs. I heard from one of the Sheriff’s Deputies that an ATV rental outfit to the north is recommending people to go to Gordon Gulch. It made sense since there were a lot of helmeted…

Clean, serene, and green

This is the first time I've camped in Fall River Road and it is wonderful! Best part, FREE! With hiking trails, water(creek) and a beautiful camp site

Sweet Views, Road Traffic

Nice quick stay outside of Breckinridge. Pullouts are pretty tight so best for vans type camping. Maybe larger sites further up the mountain. Plenty of keep traffic, mountain and e-bikes. Enjoyed the views! Would stay again.

Clean, friendly staff, beautiful location.

We pulled in late in a 38 ft Class A without a reservation and they had 1 spot in the late check-in box that would accommodate our motor home. Very clean and well maintained RV park. Beautiful view. Extremely friendly staff. Our site had concrete pad…was uneven but totally fine with our auto…

Nice RV park in a fabulous location !

This park is located just outside of Estes Park, right along the river. The park is very clean and the staff is exceptionally helpful. The sites are level, but rather small and close together. There are no trees in most of the sites. The facilities were acceptable, although the pool and hot tub…

Large sites with good shade!

We stayed here one night during the week just to escape the Denver heat.

Pros: sites are large and most of them have good privacy/shade. About half the sites are right along the river. The bathroom on site was also cleaner than other campground outhouses.

Cons: the road is rough getting here.…

Full hookups with space

I usually hate full hookup sites because they pack everyone in so tightly. Not here! The full hookup sites are very spacious and surrounded by grass (or weeds - at least green) and trees.

The park itself is huge and has miles of bike trails that then connect to trail systems outside of the park.

nice but not for me

Super family friendly camping space. Best spots seemed to be for tent campers, but I was car camping and my space was decent. Super lively during the day, but mellows out at night. Nice bathrooms, lovely river flowing through, some light hiking you can do if you want , and walkably close to a…

Close to All RMNP Has to Offer

Loved being in the park and having easy access to all the park has to offer. Especially with the new timed entry requirements. However, Loop C in which we stayed was very tight between sites and the old growth pines have been removed and replaced with younger/shorter trees. Still enjoyed some elk…

Spacious and serene

Acres large campsite that opens to a boulder studded meadow. A little tight backing through the trees but doable. The roadway runs by so there is some traffic noise. Otherwise nearly perfect. No water. Here mud June and there are open spots FF. No one stays all that long with no water at hand.

Gorgeous views but some drawbacks

The valley this campground is in, is flat out gorgeous.  Amazing boulder mountains and tall pines make for stellar views.  Sleeping with the sound of the river was also awesome for the whole family.  But, it isn't perfect (depending on your site).  We reserved site 21 b/c it was right next to the…

Gorgeous but was a headache

Beautiful! Deducted two stars for being overpriced, not to mention the construction during the day and the coincidentally loud neighbors in the evening.

Nice spot close to town

Decent little campground not far away from Denver. Idaho Springs is close for a meal or other things you might want. Sites were clean, some pretty spacious but the ones in the middle were on top of each other. A nice hike right out of the campground. No where else to drive on the road, so it’s nice…

Great for exploring Wild Basin

No water currently, sites are $17.25 a night. Nice spot in Ponderosa pine forest, about 10 minutes from the Wild Basin area of Rocky Mountain National Park. Sites seemed mostly spread out for some room between neighbors. Camp hosts were friendly and attentive. Pit toilets were clean, though I could…
