Just okay

The proximity to Denver is nice but I was surprised that the walk-in sites (29-35) were so close together. This section is probably only worth it if you can get site 34 or 35 which are the furthest back. Site 33 was not private at all and the tent pad was 10 feet from the walkway to 32, 34, and 35 so people were constantly walking by. This campground is also under a flight path so very loud planes flew overhead into the night. Definitely a convenient location and the campsites and toilets were well kept but there are better options within an hour of Denver.

Wonderful gem, close to Golden, perfect quick get-a-way

Our family loves this spot, the privacy and natural beauty all easily accessible for a 1 night trip for a family breaking in some unruly toddlers to the camping experience.

Panorama Point offers amazing views that even my 70 year old parents were able to join us on.

PP gets really busy but get there early enough after camping and you'll have it mostly to yourselves.

Frazer Meadows is also a fun hike that you can easily accomplish with a kid carrier.

Good spot for a relaxing camping trip

Came here with my roommates in July after only dispersed camping earlier in the summer. Nice spot with a metal fire pit (good for stage 1 fire ban), picnic table, and tent pad. Tent pad was big enough to squeeze two 3-person tents and a 6-person tent (barely). Walking distance to vault toilets. Some nice foresty hikes between Aspen Meadows and Reverend's Ridge. We could see some other campsites but didn't feel too squished. There's an actual parking lot but we just parked next to our campsite, off the road enough to let other cars pass by easily.

Clean but Noisy, No Clear Instructions

Our spot was in Aspen Meadows. The reservation confirmation gave us directions to Reverend's Ridge campground, which is wrong. It also said our site was on Aspen Loop, and there is no Aspen Loop - only Conifer Loop. It's a very poorly marked campground. It's also directly under a flight path. The toilets smelled like ammonia, horribly...but the campsite itself was clean.

Steep Camping

Aspen Meadows is part of Golden Gate Canyon State Park. Basic camping with vault bathrooms. This site is surrounded by pine trees, aspens and boulders. Parking is a bit tight and the some of the sites pretty steep. Dude's Fishing Hole is within walking distance. What a enjoyed about this campground is how the sites are distributed along the steep mountain incline. Highly recommended.

Nice spot

Quiet (mid-week stay) campground with access to hiking trails. Some sites are more secluded than others, 5 was great. No service from Sprint/T-Mobile at the campground, but accessible near panorama point.
