This campsite was a life saver on a cross country trip. All sites in the Denver/Rocky Mountain area were apparently booked months in advance and we were striking out everywhere. The online booking process for Chief Hosa was difficult/mobile-unfriendly which must have worked in our favor, ha! Sites…
We lucked out with a south facing spot overlooking the town of Nederland. The unfortunate part of our stay was the group that decided to throw a rave until 6am, disturbing what I can only imagine to be the entire Arapahoe region. Completely uncalled for - and a microphone to go along with a speaker…

Nice natural features, shade is appreciated in the summer.
Right off i70 easy to get to. A little road noise but nothing bad. Solid T-Mobile cell coverage. Getting 45/3Mb up and down.
We enjoyed camping by water with our 22ft trailer. We planned this trip with friends so it was nice to have sites right next to each other but I could see that if you were next to strangers that were rowdy, it could get annoying because the sites are close together.
We booked this site in…
The park is conveniently located close to everything to do in Colorado Springs. Spaces were VERY close together. There is no view of any of the surrounding beauty.

The sites are surrounded by beautiful trees and well maintained. The staff is very helpful and work hard to keep the facility looking great. The only negative is the coal trains that blow their loud horns early in the morning.
we were able to pull up in our little volkswagon without a problem on the dirt roads. beautiful views. fire pits but no bathrooms.
Not so good
I have been here a couple times, and both times with my girlfriend, and it’s been quiet during the middle of the week. LOTS OF BEARS! Camp host is really nice and takes cares of the guests if you take care of the land. Gets busy on the weekends as expected.
No camping signs have been posted on this road.
Generous sized sites with convenient hookups at this social site. Crowded and full when we were there but quiet, calm and respectful campers. Pretty lake with surrounding walking park is very nearby.
This campground is not far off the main road and is easy to access with any vehicle. I was there on a Saturday and it still had open spots, but was mostly full. The vault toilet was very clean. The hosts kept it well stocked with toilet paper and they checked in with groups daily. Really good views…
This campground is great for those looking for beautiful scenery and to avoid the crowds, not to mention it’s free! The dirt roads can be a little tough to navigate in a car depending on how far back you go. It can get busy during the weekends, so I would recommend getting here a little early to…
