Indian Creek, near Sedalia, Colorado, is a solid spot for those looking to escape into nature without straying too far from the city. This campground offers a mix of tent and RV sites, making it a versatile choice for different camping styles.

The area is well-kept and features picnic tables and fire pits, perfect for evening gatherings. Visitors have noted that it’s pet-friendly, so you can bring your furry friends along for the adventure, but remember to keep them leashed. The lack of drinking water and electric hookups means you’ll want to come prepared, but the beautiful surroundings make it worth it.

Hiking trails are abundant, with many campers raving about the nearby paths. One reviewer mentioned, “Very nice pull-in campsite near a ton of trails,” highlighting the accessibility and variety of outdoor activities available. Expect to see fellow hikers, mountain bikers, and even horseback riders enjoying the area.

Accessible with tons of trails

Very nice pull in campsite near a ton of trails. It was pretty busy, though, on a Tuesday. Also, it was $23/night. Be sure to pass all the private property signs - they only apply to the sides of the road! Pets must be leashed. The roads in are nice gravel roads.

It’s a nice escape on the front range

Indian Creek was pleasant and I would return. Attractive sites available with trees and grass. Most sites are better suited for tents or vans. I was able to fit a 20 ft travel trailer, but there’s only a handful of trailer sites. No hookups. Cell service was zero with ATT and Verizon. We hiked Indian Creek, but it was very hot. You can hike a portion along Bear Creek for a few miles which was the best part. Lots of hikers, mtn bikers, and horses. The camp host did check in and was very helpful and friendly. Good option close to Denver.

Good pull in camping spot

Well taken care of and easy to pull into. There is a small trail you can hike. Pet friendly with a leash. I visited in off season for the trail, the picture is from the snow left on the drive into the sites.

Great place

Very pretty! We camped on the last weekend of the season (Sept 27th). It was $22 a night at that time. You pay via a drop box with cash and there’s no change available. You’re definitely in bear country and they do a good job of warning you. The area is mainly populated by people coming out to ride ATVs or dirt bikes, so expect to hear them for sure. This is a small campground with only two loops. Both loops have a bathroom (hole in the ground type) with no running water. No trash cans avaliable. Each loop has about 4 campsites. First come first serve. We came out at 6 pm on a Friday night and there were about 3 spots left, which filled up quickly. If you miss the campsite, there are others up Rampart Road that would you can use as a back up (those are free). Overall I enjoyed it and would come again!
