The Rampart Range Recreation Area provides a unique setting for off-highway vehicle (OHV) enthusiasts to enjoy a variety of riding experiences. From intermediate to expert riders, ATV or motorcycle, the Rampart has something for everyone.
Please make sure you are prepared and ride within your abilities. Changing conditions, natural hazards, as well as oncoming traffic may be encountered. Please become familiar with and obey all local rules and regulations.
Motor Vehicle Use Maps (MVUM) are available for free at your local USFS office or can be found at www.fs.usda.gov/goto/psicc/mvum.

After a long day of traveling we looked for a campsite close to Colorado Springs. This place was very nice with a great view of Pikes Peak.
GuideDispersed Homeless Shelter
Maybe we hit it at the wrong time, but many of the sites (mostly the best ones) were filled with what appeared to be homeless camps and campers. Sites were all close, and there was a nearly endless stream of vehicles driving up and down the roads (there are several fire roads of the south side of Rampart Road) looking for empty spots. I was super disappointed.
ScoutNice adventure
I loved it there, even though we got stuck in snow. We went there in May 3rd week and I loved it despite "bad weather". Our city car got stuck in the snow and we had to shovel our way out. However, I liked it how much into nature it was and of course the snow was beautiful. We didn't see any amenities around as such.
