Great place

We stayed here for 4 nights while visiting family. We had site 9 I believe and loved it b/c there was tons of open grassy area behind our spot for our kids to play on. Would definitely return here. Oh and be sure to visit Five Rivers center across the road, great free educational center for kids!

No tens or RTT's?

I called to make reservations for September 21 for a5 days and she said that they are not offering tent camping at this time. Not even a overland trailer (Turtleback with a RTT), it has to be a RV only.

Great Island camping

Fun place to be.!!! Campsites are just a short walk to the beach. The staff is very friendly and will be happy to help with any questions you might have. Bath house is cleaned every morning and showers were pretty warm. The campground has different sections depending on what size Rv you have. Full…

Not great, but not horrible.

This KOA isn't the greatest but it isn't one of the worst I've stayed at. I'd stay again, but only if there wasn't camping availability around the area except for here.

Pros: Location on the bay - 👌 Pool/hot to on site Close to fuel stations Close to main roads to get you where you want to go…

Not impressed

Overall….meh. The RV sites are not on any type of paved or level ground and are not suitable for larger RVs. They're VERY close together and there are a lot of trees. They call them "pull through" sites but there isn't enough room to pull through and turn onto the road (you could barely pull a…

Nice quite clean campground

This campground is nice and well kept. Facilities are fairly new. Close to tensas river. Only negative is there are virtually no trees in campground and it’s a little pricey at $40 a night

Great campground right on the water!

This park is right on Mobile Bay (technically Bay John) and is a beautiful park.  The sites are well space out and our site #29 was perfectly level!  Nice asphalt parking and patio are so we didn't even need to put out a rug.

Be ready to hike it in primitive tent

My wife and I stayed for 3 days. The worst part was had to hike in about a mile to primitive camp and the spots are not well marked. One we got set up though had a great time beautiful spot. Then had to pack and hike out

Pensacola Camping

We spent 4 days at this camp site. There is two different sites on with poured pads and the other just dirt. The sites are night and day different. One kept up and the other ran down. Unable to get on the good side due to long term retired campers. However, overall good place to stay for the cost.…

Easy spot off the highway.

This camp ground is growing so there was quite a bit of construction debris around, but looking past that. This spot is literally right off Hwy 10 at exit 26 making it convenient for travelers. I would not recommend this campsite for true "camping". On ground fires are not allowed and there are no…

Hidden Gem

This place totally surprised us with how nice it was! They accept Passport America, so a full hookup sight was about $9/night. $18 without Passport America. Sites are large and private. Many are pull through. We had our own kayaks and bikes, so we went kayaking in the creek and mountain biking on…

The worst KOA I’ve ever seen!

This is not a friendly KOA! The girl in the office was more interested in the guy she was talking to than to help check us in. No one offered to take us to our site (most KOAs will escort you). It was pouring down rain. We requested a Deluxe Site. We were given a mud site that our motorhome would…

Nice spot but....

We stayed in three sites in April 2021: 27, 6, and 64. This campground is in a nice location and has many good features: many beautiful trees and plants, spacing between sites, clean bathhouses, etc. Unfortunately , many of the trails are closed long-term, probably since Hurricane Sally. …

Giant Spots!

Giant Rv spots that were very spaced and secluded. Staff were great although not very attentive. We left out in the evening to visit friends and they wanted to know what time we’d be back. We said we weren’t sure and they seemed a little out off because they had to “close the gate”. They just said…
