Sun Outdoors Orange Beach

Accessible via paved roads with full hookups for RVs up to 90 feet, Sun Outdoors Orange Beach accommodates both short-term visitors and extended stays. The resort features concrete pads and updated electrical pedestals, though campers should note the access roads can be rough in spots. Sites provide adequate spacing for RVs and vehicles, with cable television and WiFi available throughout the property.

The campground operates two pools, fishing lakes, and recreational facilities including volleyball and pickleball courts. Walking trails connect directly to Gulf State Park, extending hiking options beyond the resort boundaries. "Sites are level and clean with full hook, wifi is great," notes Eddie R.. Limited shade means sites receive full sun exposure during most daylight hours. AT&T cell service registers as adequate but not strong in all areas.

Airport noise from nearby operations affects the campground periodically throughout the day. The resort maintains organized activities and events, which some campers find frequent. Trash collection requires a walk to the entrance area rather than site pickup. For those exploring the broader Gulf Coast, campgrounds just outside Orange Beach provide additional coastal access options.

Reservations are recommended, particularly during peak seasons when the campground fills with both recreational visitors and seasonal residents.

Lots of concrete

This is an all Inclusive RV Resort! Lots of spaces, but very few RVs when we were there. Sites are all concrete with easy access hookups. Not much shade. 2 pools, one adult only. Dog Park, laundry, tennis courts, gulf cart rental. They even have a business center. Walking trails connect to Gulf State Park. They do a lot of planned activities which can be annoying. Long term or short term sites available.

Pandion Ridge is now Sun Outdoors OB

This is a super nice RV Resort. Very clean and perfectly landscaped. Pads are large and concrete. All pedestals are up to date and water pressure is adequate at 45 psi. Cable is digital (60+ channels). AT&T phone signal is not great, but adequate. WiFi is not great, at least not at site 137, however we are in a newly developed area and may be better older areas. Amenities are fine. Two pools, hot tub, two well stocked fishing lakes, volleyball, pickle ball, horse shoes, two pet runs, laundry, club room, bath house, and more. Have visited here several times, and will surely return.

Large wide-open campground

Not many trees. Campsites are pretty close to each other. Probably the most expensive campground on our cross-country trip. This place is not really our style, but many long-timers seemed to like it.

Quiet, Clean, great location

This was our first visit to the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area and Pandion did not disappoint during our stay. Sites are huge. Plenty of space to park your camper and vehicle (or even two for the most part). Some amenities were limited due to covid, but they had plenty of signs up, had contactless check in, spaces loungers our around the pool, and everyone was very respectful of your space. There is cable, full hookups are very site, and everything is very well maintained. There is an airport nearby so there is some noise related to that. There is also a nice bike/nature trail Connected to the park. The only downfall (very minor) was the trash drop off. I believe they usually do a pickup but have suspended that do to Covid. It was up by the entrance which was very far from where our site was. We just took it when we left but it would be nice to have a couple of different locations. We will definitely be back if we travel back to this area.
