    Fremont Lake

    Large campground on beautiful lake

This is a large campground along the lakeshore.  The lake is pretty big.  Most of the sites are on a bluff above the lake.  Many of the sites did not appear to have a specific area to set up a tent, so there were some tents set up on gravel or pavement.  There are no showers available.  There was a good tent site on the upper part of our site.  We had heard reports of mosquitoes, but did not have any problems.  There were reports of a black bear in camp looking for food.  All sites have bear boxes.  This campground is conveniently located if you are planning to do any hiking from the Elkhart Park area.  We hiked to Photographer's Point and the views were spectacular.  Also, it is just a few minutes drive into Pinedale where you can sample the beers at Wind River Brewing.

    Willow Lake

    Not for me

This is NOT a free campsite, the charge is $10. Location felt hectic and crowded to me. Sites were not easy to identify. It was Labor Day weekend Monday so it might be better for other times. I elected not to stay.

    Fisherman Creek Road

    Easy and peaceful

Lots of large sites with fire pits and turnarounds. I went 2-3 miles to find an isolated site. Many sites had campers parked but no people. Little traffic on the road. Easy road in. Primitive dispersed camping.

    Big Sandy Reservoir Rec Area

Easy and with a Water View

A great spot for a one night stay on our way to Yellowstone. The breeze and water view were a bonus. No frills but it had everything we needed. We even found a spot on Labor Day weekend . . . THAT would never happen in Colorado.

Ring Lake RV and Tent Site

    Beautiful spot lakeside

Great boondocking spot right on a lake, smooth road so no worries about ground clearance or such, pull in and pick a spot. Small boat ramp, vaulted toilets and they have bear boxes otherwise no services. Not too busy for mid August.

Warren Bridge Campground and Picnic Area

Simple, a great over night stop

It's a simple campground with no shade or hookups, but it's clean. They do have a dump station. It was a welcome stop before Yellowstone. All sites are level, so drive in and relax and enjoy the vastness of the Prairie.

Warren Bridge Campground and Picnic Area

    Great stop over!

Easy access campground with dump station & potable water available. Nice level sites with space between them, but no trees. Right off the highway so easy in & out.

    Big Sandy Dam and Reservoir

    Beautiful & Buggy

Overall this campsite was beautiful with the sunset water views and the Tetons in the background. Also saw some cute cows right by camp and heard the coyotes at night. Very clean, quiet and peaceful. Only gave it 4 stars because of the insane amount of bugs (you can hear the buzzing in the video there were so many)

Warren Bridge Recreation Area Designated Dispersed Camping

    Great Overnight Location

Arrived very late Friday night after 11 PM and still found a nice spot by the river to setup camp for the night on the way to the Tetons. Nice and quiet with pit toilets and spacious areas to setup camp.
