Stokes Crossing

Bureau of Land Management operates this free campground along the river below Boulder Dam, featuring two sites within a larger grassy area. The final two miles require navigating a narrow, rocky dirt road that becomes problematic during heavy rain. One vault toilet serves the area, though no water, trash service, or cell signal is available.

Local travel trailer groups frequently use the space, with reviewers noting over six trailers present during peak times. Cattle share the grazing area with campers. The campground sits on the river rather than Boulder Lake itself, providing fishing and swimming access. Campers exploring the region can find campgrounds around Boulder for additional options. No pets are permitted at this location.

Local hideout on river

This is a free BLM campground with two sites in a larger open grassy area. One vault toilet, no water, trash or cell signal. Last two miles of access road is narrow dirt rocky and could be a problem if it rained hard. Site appears to be a local TT group hangout...over 6-8 trailers were there at my visit. This site is not on Boulder Lake, it is on the river below Boulder dam.

Stokes Crossing

This is a very small camp area and is usually taken. It's definitely one of natures best kept little secrets. If you don't mind sharing with the cattle you'll get to have your own little paradise.
