Crowd levels tend to stay low. Reviews from midsummer and early September both note few other campers on site, and one visitor found the area entirely to themselves on a weekday after Labor Day. Bugs can be a factor at dusk, particularly near the water. Mice have been reported by at least one camper who stayed multiple nights, so storing food securely is worth the extra effort.
Toilets are on site, and the campground accommodates big rigs, ADA users, and pets. Construction was noted at the east and west campground areas in a 2023 visit, so conditions may vary by season.
