Lander City Park

It’s so fun sitting at the benches provided under the big beautiful shady tree at the riverside being witness to all the fun and friendly townsfolk laughing, socialising and playing sport and we are so grateful for the opportunity the town has afforded us to do so at their free campsite.(donations) Thank you Lander, you have a welcoming and wonderful town.

Lander City Park is such a charming little spot! Sleeping right by the river in our RV for free and listening to the water was incredibly peaceful. The grassy tent area is also lovely and lush. Just a heads-up—make sure to pack up your tent by 9am so the sprinklers and mower don’t surprise you. Take a leisurely walk across the beautiful bridge—it’s a great way to enjoy the scenery. And you’ve gotta try breakfast at The Middle Fork restaurant—so delicious! There are bathrooms and a water source nearby in front of the bathroom, and the park is pet-friendly, which is awesome. No hook-ups, but the traffic down the road is pretty light, making for a quiet, restful night. We’ll definitely be coming back here!

It's a park that allows camping. So a crowd, but bathrooms are available. Small rv's sleeping in car is cool

Amazing place to stop for up to three days next to a quality river. Short walk to main street. Perfect go between to or from Yellowstone or Grand Teton.

Very nice and clean city park. There are quite a few parking spots to camp in. We have a 42ft camper and were able to back in to avoid taking too much space. Restrooms are available bit otherwise you need to be self contained.

Great for three free nights on the bounce. Close to town- walkable. Has two toilet blocks and plenty of space to park up.

Just pull in the designated area and camp. So easy. So close to town. Toilets are available! We visited in mid May so the water fountains weren’t on yet. Lots of trees and green grass, and we’re right by a river.
