Great 1st trip

Just spent a long weekend here, for the first time. Camped from Thursday to Mon. The park is a easy drive from Pittsburgh and DC. We stayed in the C Loop. Sites are nicely spaced with trees in between. Sites was level with a fire ring, picnic table and lantern post. Lake was very pretty. Looked…

Beautiful, and peaceful

This campground is just far enough off the highway for easy access to it's peace and quiet. It's also apparently quite large, but we couldn't tell based on our site and the space and woods around us. Plus there are caverns right on site that you can tour. There are also some awesome roads to…

Amazing campsite

We loved our stay at this campground! It was clean and well maintained. Additionally, there was only two other groups there on a Sunday night.

Great campsites and clean facilities

This was our first time camping and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to start. The campsites were well kept and it looked like each site was a close walking distance to a bathroom, dumpster, and potable water. Bathrooms were clean as well.

Awesome family campground

We were here 12 nights. Owners are phenomenal. Making sure you have what you need. Quiet, clean. Everything we like!! Met good "neighbors" Playground, horseshoes, basketball, fire pit, plenty of open area, large enough sites. Two cabins. Clean restrooms. Pet run newly put in. Owners are some of…

Good time

Nice campground. Not ton of people and most were pretty quiet. Good mix of tents and Rvs. Good amount of firewood available for sale. Bath house was ok, alot of bugs crawling around and water didn't get hot. Campsites were clean and raised.

Walk in Free

It’s a small walk to the tent only sites right off the C & O Canal which is heavily used by bikes and walkers. It sets down from the canal trail while the portapotty is right on the trail. The sites have breathing room and it’s on the Potomac River but it feels really odd to camp with so much…

Really nice little spot! Excited to go back!

We had spot #10 booked from Thursday through Sunday. Unfortunately we arrived Friday evening around dinner time and lost a whole day of our long weekend due to RV issues along the way there, but ended up having a really nice weekend despite the ugly start to it. Nice secure park and really love…

2nd trip

This was my second time to Brunswick Family Campground within two weeks. This campground is so quaint and carefree you almost forget the outside world. The Shanandoah is just as beautiful. The showers could use a good cleaning but they are typical Campground showers perfect for the campground life.…

Good, if crowded

Nice campground. Stayed at campsite #33. Liked the lot as the tent pad was set back a good way from the road, but the fire ring was awkwardly close to the neighboring campsite. Lots are on the small side and some are less private than others. Not much enforcement of camp etiquette or rules, which…

Roads are a little hinky!

We arrived from the south entrance and the roads were awful! I understand it can be part of getting to those prime boondocking spots, but I was nervous in our 30 ft motor home. I definitely recommend for tent camping. All the sites had plenty of space with a fire ring and picnic tables. Lots of…

Amazing drive and lots of wildlife

We only stayed one night, but wish we could have stayed more! The campground offers so many different trails and breathtaking scenic overlooks of the Blue Ridge Mountains. As soon as we got there, we saw several deer. I’d almost say they were friendly :) No electric hookups, but the weather was…
