Pricey , but average campground

Stayed over Memorial Day weekend. Was full (to be expected), and we were placed in what seemed to be overflow spaces across a road from the main part area. It seemed like all spaces lack picnic table and fire rings. No sewer. Price was high considering lack of amenities. Right on Potomac and river access for tubers could be good for some. For our family, this is one of those places that is ok, but there are better options in the area for sure.

Nice campground...but

This is our first time staying at Watermelon Park. It is a nice campground, decent and clean facilities and a nice location near the river. Price is a little high considering there is no sewer hookup (dump station is on site). A few things I'm disappointed in 1) no fire rings but you can use an above ground pit ,2) not all sites have picnic tables. Also the road in off of US 7 is pretty narrow.

Loved it!

I enjoy taking my chair and sitting in the water and watching kids play. Nice and quiet at night. Fun to watch other families enjoying themselves too. Also the Bluegrass

was awesome!

Sitewe were close to the water.

Do Not Use This Campground

The owners of this campground have lost their minds, by over charging & alienating the community they belong to. I will no longer recommend or visit this establishment. Great job bitting the hand that feeds you!

Great Family Campground

Great campground for families. Views of river and mountain towering above campground on opposite side.

Cheap tube rentals with busses that take you 2-3 miles up the road and drop you at boat landing. Bring your own tubes and have a camp member drop you off as well.

Nice playground that they plan on expanding.

Well maintained and owner was around everyday doing work on the property and was friendly.
