    SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Loyd Park's fenced dog area gives pets ample space to run off-leash while camping near Bedford, Texas. Dallas/Arlington KOA Holiday, Treetops RV Resort, and Meadowmere Park all permit pets with varying amenities. Most campgrounds require leashes when pets are outside designated exercise areas and limit pets to 2-3 per site. Cedar Hill State Park and Pilot Knoll Park feature lakeside trails where leashed dogs can join hiking activities. The staff at campgrounds are friendly and often provide waste stations throughout the grounds for convenient cleanup. ['Quiet hours at most campgrounds begin at 10:00 pm when all noise, including barking dogs, must be minimized.'] Pet-friendly accommodations include standard tent sites, RV hookups, and cabins at select locations like Treetops and Dallas/Arlington KOA.

Shaded campsites at Treetops RV Resort provide relief from Texas heat, especially important for camping with dogs during summer months. Trails at nearby Murrell Park offer moderate hiking suitable for most dogs, with access to Grapevine Reservoir where pets can cool off. Most campgrounds maintain a clean environment with regular trash pickup, important for pet waste management. The Arlington area features several veterinary clinics within 15-20 minutes of most campgrounds, including emergency services. Cedar Hill State Park's hiking paths range from easy to moderate difficulty with multiple routes suitable for dogs of varying fitness levels. When temperatures exceed 95°F, morning and evening walks are recommended as asphalt paths can damage paw pads. Dog parks within Loyd Park and Dallas/Arlington KOA provide socialization opportunities after a day of exploration.

      Boyd RV Park

Decent RV park in a Pleasant Small Town

Boyd is a true Texas small town with a pleasant hometown strip just up the road from Boyd RV Park. The small park boasts showers, a pets area, and a back area with nice country views and fields. The dog park has a good amount of space and is the nicest part of the park for stretching your legs.

It does not have a crowded vibe, and has everything to meet the basic needs of the RV or camper campers and then some. Prices are some of the best around, and if you need supplies or places to dine out, it is all a short walk away.

Shady Creek RV Park and Storage

      Family Reunion!

We traveled from West Texas, stayed 4 nights, had rain almost every day. The park is well laid out, small clean well maintained yards. The paved road was beginning to break up from all the rain with pot holes and new ones beginning to pop up. The pads are gravel and almost level. A few guests have been here a while, did see several arrivals and departures. Pet friendly, keep an eye on your pooch as one morning a large dog broke his/her leash one morning and attacked a lady's dog and knocked her down. She was not injured and her doggie is ok. We did not make it to the pool, the patio or to the dog park. All looked great from a distance. Verizon, full bars of service! 🙂

      Patriot RV Park

      Comfortable stay

Stayed for two months for my husband's work. Park manager, Becky, was helpful and nice. They have a saltwater pool, dog park, laundry room, shower/bathrooms, trees/landscaping and access to a boat ramp. Some sites are a bit tight. We were in the top part of the campground and had no issues with it being real wet. Have heard that the lower area does have pooling of water with heavy rain. It does go away quickly, but should be aware of this if you have lots of outside things or a pet. Would stay here again.

      The owners have big plans!

The dog park is being put in and laundry room and garden are next.

      Sugar Hill RV Resort

Great North Texas Spot to Explore

About 45minutes north of Dallas which makes easy entry and exit. Very clean amenities, spacious sites, better than average dog park, good amount of grass and walking trails around. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Even had a small fitness room that will work in a pinch.

      Waggin Tail Ranch RV Park

      Nice big fenced RV spots

We stayed here 5 months on a work trip. Nice sites most are fenced in with big yards. A few pull thru sites unfenced. The long term sites are well maintained, the staff do a great job of keeping the place nice. Nice big dog park with a pond, also a grooming and dog wash area. Has a pool with hot tub, and a small playground for the kids. We enjoyed our time here, so unique to have a fenced yard. Only down side is the Texas heat and none of the sites have any shade trees.

      North Texas Jellystone

      Family Fun

This typically isn’t our type of park but the kids enjoyed it. We went in October and they had some fun Halloween activities. Site was pull through but pretty tight and close to neighbor. Probably worth paying for premium. Nice large dog park and clean restrooms/bathhouse.

      Nice basic overnight spot

Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice little pool. Several small fenced dog parks. Well kept grounds. Nice pull through concrete pads that are level.
