This is a couple of miles off of a main highway coming down from Severeville do not follow GPS directions through a torturous path of 15 miles of white knuckle driving.
Elkmont is right here n the National Park. Close to great hiking and occasional wildlife. Bears have been extra active this year, and rangers advise taking extra precautions. All National Park campgrounds are primitive, so no water, or electric. Put toilets and no showers. There is a dump station…
This campground is right on the river. Sites are well spaced, so you are not on top of your neighbors. Lots of trees and shade. Pool and playground. Full hookups and dump station. There is a small store.

First of all, it’s a KOA, so I didn’t expect a lot when we came, but it’s close to Great Smokey Mountains NP. It has has water and electricity, and is tolerable for a night or two. As KOA’s go, this one is better than most I’ve been to. There are still some trees, and some shade, the sites are…

Very nice, but small sites. Full hookups and wifi at a state park, which is nice. Historic area with demonstrations and visitor center. Beautiful hiking trail by the river and riverside sites
This place is great! It was very quiet and clean and peaceful. There was a good amount of space between the different campsites, and the bathrooms were very nice! This was my first time camping, and I'm sure a first trip can make or break it for a lot of campers, but I will definitely be venturing…

This KOA campground is within Pigeon Forge and accessible to where you want to go. A busy campground but quiet while campers do their own thing. The staff is superb and always checking on guests.

The campground is along the little River. The primitive campsites boarder the River and are easily accessed. We book on a slow day where there were only 2 tent campers along the run of primitive sites. The website shows all other spots vacant. Upon check-in we asked the lady at the office if we…
The camp ground is surrounded by a river. The only way you can get in is through the bridge. The restrooms were super clean. Our kids loved the playground. The basketball court was also good and come with a ball that anyone can use. The pavilion are open to campers and we used the propane grill.…

Called in on Saturday Morning got a cabin at a great price for the night. Family oriented place. Older couple that runs it is super nice and friendly but doesn’t bother you. Shower house clean water hot hot. Quiet time is respected.
I went mountain biking from the campground and had an awesome stay. The river was nice to have close to the site and it was a fun spot to stay. I have a rooftop tent and it opened up easily in the site I stayed and it looked like you wouldn’t have an issue in most of the car sites there for…
They took us in at 11 pm. Helped us set up. Drove us into town so we didn't have to disconnect the next day.
A regular campsite is $20 a night for a tent. Their group campsite was open for $26 a night so I got that instead! 😄
Beautiful campground in the smoky mountains with lots of hiking to three waterfalls. The tent-only camping does not look like a lot of fun. You have to park your car in the lot and walk your gear to your pad. The pads are almost on top of each other with no trees or privacy to separate you. But…
