Newer KOA?

I'm only guessing that this is a newer campground because most of the sites are on concrete slabs with recently planted saplings. It is in a secluded area and there is a fishing pond.

Good when not overcrowded

We went this past summer and had a nice visit. There wasn't too many people but a few weeks later we drove thru and people were packed in like sardines. Just not our style of camping. Seems the locals really come out in droves and packs the place. Have been told that vehicles have been stolen so…

NPS campground by the river

Perfect campground by the river. Spacious sites decently separated, super friendly host, several hiking trails starting right around the corner. We had two wonderful nights here and would recommend the campground to anyone looking for a quiet stay in Smoky Mountain NP.

Family Friendly

We love this campground and often visit, this year we had our family reunion. It was the first time many had seen a campground and they utilized the deluxe cabins. Everyone had a wonderful time and loved the resort like amenities. They took a vote and decided to make this our annual destination.

Quiet and friendly campground

It’s a nice campground mainly for campers and RVs in between trees. Our host greeted us very warmly and explained everything to us in detail. There is a pool to use as well and a nice big playground for the kids too. Very nice place to relax! Enjoyed our stay here a lot.

Great sites on a lake

There are 9 sites that are spread very far apart from one another. We stayed at site 6, and it was about 1.5 miles into the grounds. Our site was equipped with a nice fire ring and picnic table, as well as hard gravel tent pad. There was water access directly from the site into a cove,as well as a…

Cabin is very nice primitive place to stay.

Awsome little cabin!! No electric or water but was enjoyable. Definitely would recommend. Tent sights are around the cabin And on the opposite side of the creek from the RVs. Nice and quiet spot with Beautiful views!!

  • Cabin in the morning, tent sights to right, left and straight ahead.
  • View from cabin porch
  • Mountains around the cabin.

Great Time

My wife and I decided to stay local because we just got a new camper and wanted to be near home.on case anything went wrong. It was like seeing Cove Lake all over again. The camp ground is great and the bath houses are super clean. Will definitely be back!

A bit crowded

A couple of the tent sites are waterfront and ideal for a tenter like me. The rest seem a little packed together, though some offer a little bit of seclusion. Decent facilities and easy access to Devil’s Backbone section of Cumberland trail.

Off-grid small campground nestled up against Abrams Creek

This campground is located down a mountain road with many switchbacks, thus limiting it to mostly tent campers (awesome). You can bring a trailer in, if it's less than 20 feet in length. While we were there, we only saw one trailer, all the other sites were tent campers or van lifers.

Bathrooms closed in July

No showers and portable toilets for camper use. Not a big deal for me, but I know some might prefer another campground as a result. Active barred owls in the campground. Quite a treat watching them.

Decent mainstream campground.

It's a decent big name campground we haven't really seen anything that's blown us away, it's fairly clean and the staff is nice enough, but like I said nothing spectacular. The pool area is nice. The sites are pretty tight, our camper is up against our concrete patio and I only had a couple inches…

Perfect location

This was a very nice and clean rv park. Roads are paved with gravel sites. Each has a concrete slab with a pic Nic table and charcoal grill and fire ring. The laundry and showers were very clean and well maintained. The pool area was cleaned every morning. You are allowed to send and receive mail…
