Horrible staff

The staff (manager Kim) thinks she owned the place. She makes up rules when she pleases. Doesn’t allow dog fences because she doesn’t want to deal with them if a storm comes. This is a military owned campground, but she runs it like it’s hers. I won’t stay there again because Kim is not a nice…

Amazing views and luscious greens

This campsite was magical! We were only able to stay two nights and I wish we could have stayed more. So much to see here! I also really appreciated the space between campsites. There are a lot of crawling creatures and I even showered with some, but didn’t mind :) I’m learning it’s part of…

Beautiful camping and beach

We stayed on the Live Oak side on site 111. Our site was kind of open but still great (since we were there for a meet up/group) but other sites are very deep and private. Bath house was clean although half the showers on the women’s side were closed so there was a line. Short drive to the beach or…

Dang! Lot's to do on site

This was a cool park. Splash pads, ponds, giant playgrounds, large trails and more. Great place to bring kids!

Lake Aire

Nice pond for fishing or picnicking around. Wi-fi is very slow and Verizon has 2 bars. Bathrooms need to be updated and repaired.

Wonderful campground for Family

I cannot say enough good things about James Island County Park! Bicycle trails right in the campground, wonderful playgrounds, rock wall Climbing (which we missed out on but will do next time), 15 min to local beach accesses. Quiet. Peaceful area where we all relaxed It was a great start to our…

Fantastic Campground

Fantastic Campground located right on the beach in Edisto Island, SC!

First off, I've visited the state park since I was a child, but normally we would go to walk the long beach to the northern inlet area. This was my second time camping here and first time tent camping. It was a pure joy and…

Neat Campground close to Lake Moultrie

Angel’s Campground is adjacent to Lake Moultrie and is a great place to launch a boat for fishing. The Santee Cooper area if famous for record sized catfish and other species. The campground landscaping is well-maintained. It does accept tent campers, but I would feel out of place if I were just…

Cypress View Campground

This is one of the two campgrounds at Santee State Park, and it is as different from the other as night and day. Unlike the dirt roads at Lakeshore Campground(the other campground in the park) the roads in Cypress View are paved. The sites are gravel, and many of them are pull-through sites.…

Foster Creek RV Park Charleston

Nice RV Site if you are visiting Charleston, South Carolina. The site is very hot due to no trees. Currently the restrooms and showers are down, so you need to have a self contained unit. However, very quiet. No pull thru sites. Must back in.

Clean, quiet and beautiful

The park is located down a long, wooded road on the edge of a beautiful lake. Campsites are adequately spaced apart giving a fair amount of privacy. The bathrooms seem to be clean and tidy, although we didn’t actually use them except to drop off some trash. Very quiet and peaceful with the…

Something for everyone

We love staying at the James Island County Park.  They have wonderful playgrounds for kids, tons of trails for exercise, and an excellent water park for all day water fun.  We especially love going during the holiday season so we can enjoy all of the lights.  And if you get tired of cooking at the…
