Cheap place to stay - temper your expectations

Ok.... So it was only $35 per night, so keep that in mind! IF you meet the qualifications to stay (military affiliated), this is REALLY close to the Navy Nuke School! Yes - the camp hosts are salty, as are some of the long term residents (like the people in the first spot on the right), but... It's $35! Spots are flat, full power and water, bathrooms MAY now be under construction, and the lady you book with in building across from the bowling alley is super sweet! 😁

Dilapidated

We were here in 2018 and park was great. Not so much now. Several sites are out of commission and the grounds are in bad need of maintenance. No bathrooms, showers, laundry, wifi, cable, and Verizon is sketchy. Host is not very helpful. The place is pretty quiet though with only a few rv'ers staying. Pads are cement and level but close together. Can't recommend staying here even for half the money.

Horrible staff

The staff (manager Kim) thinks she owned the place. She makes up rules when she pleases. Doesn’t allow dog fences because she doesn’t want to deal with them if a storm comes. This is a military owned campground, but she runs it like it’s hers. I won’t stay there again because Kim is not a nice person. The campground is not kept up. Playground is closed and the park is just dirty. If the Navy saw the condition this place was in, they would be embarrassed. Not coming back.

Foster Creek RV Park Charleston

Nice RV Site if you are visiting Charleston, South Carolina. The site is very hot due to no trees. Currently the restrooms and showers are down, so you need to have a self contained unit. However, very quiet. No pull thru sites. Must back in.

Frequently Asked Questions

What amenities are available at Foster Creek RV Park?

Foster Creek RV Park offers back-in RV sites with full hookups at an affordable rate of $35 per night. The campground is primarily designed for self-contained units as restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities are currently unavailable. The park does not offer amenities like WiFi or cable TV, and Verizon cellular service can be unreliable in the area. While the campground layout is quiet, the sites lack shade trees, making it quite hot during warm weather. Note that this is a military-affiliated campground with specific qualification requirements for guests.

Are there photos available of Foster Creek Campground?

Yes, photos of Foster Creek Campground are available online. While visiting the official website or social media pages of the campground would be your best resource, you can also find images on various camping platforms including The Dyrt. These photos can help you visualize the back-in RV sites, open layout (with minimal shade trees), and general campground setting. For the most current visual representation, contact the campground directly as some facilities have changed over time.

What do reviews say about Foster Creek Campground?

Foster Creek Campground receives mixed feedback. Positive aspects include its affordable price ($35/night), convenient location near the Navy Nuclear School, and relatively quiet atmosphere. However, guests note the campground has maintenance issues with several sites out of commission. The lack of amenities is frequently mentioned - no bathrooms, showers, laundry facilities, WiFi, or cable TV, and spotty Verizon service. The treeless environment makes sites hot during warm weather. Management receives mixed reactions, with some finding the camp hosts and long-term residents unwelcoming. Important to note is that this is a military-affiliated facility with qualification requirements for stays.

How do Foster Creek Villas differ from the regular campground accommodations?

Foster Creek Villas provide permanent housing accommodations separate from the RV sites. Unlike the standard RV sites which are designed for temporary stays, the villas offer more substantial housing options for longer-term residents. The villas provide greater comfort and amenities compared to the basic RV camping experience at the park. They cater primarily to military-affiliated individuals, consistent with the overall property's focus. Contact the campground directly for specific information about villa availability, pricing, and qualification requirements, as these accommodations serve a different purpose than the traditional camping sites.
