Very nice secluded camping

I absolutely love Short Stay! It is so laid back and peaceful. The only complaint I have is the WIFI. I am staying in the long term camping area and I have no WIFI connection. The short term area has an OK WIFI signal, but not the best.

Perfect family vacation

Short-stay is a beautiful camp right on Lake Moultrie a short distance from Charleston, SC. They have descent wifi and an pretty well stocked camp store, but the main attraction is huge Lake Moultrie. Great for fishing, swimming, camping, RV, and much more. There is a swimming beach and the camp store has boat kayak rental and propane tank refill. The sites on the lake have full hook-up and there is a dump station for those that do not.

What an adventure

The campground was clean and peaceful. Pet friendly. Dogs had a blast on the trails and finding a little hidden beach!

Great place with lots of options

I have stayed at here several times over the years. I’ve done primitive camping as well as staying in the cabins. I really enjoyed the multitude of options when it comes to outdoor activities. Kayaking, boating, paddle boarding, and fishing just to name a few. The facilities are well laid out and fortunately, at the times I went, it wasn’t too busy. They have a small store if you forget something. Overall great experience each time.

NOT military friendly

Stayed here last year. Was a nice place to stay temporarily. Recent changes allow active military to stay maximum of 30 days per year. Not worth my time anymore.

Family Friendly Camping

We love camping at Short Stay. The only downfall is the geese. They leave a mess everywhere. But otherwise the people are friendly, the rates are great, and it’s nice to be right on the lake.

Beautiful

I really enjoyed staying here. The campsites aren't huge, but you can fish and the scenery is great with the sites right against the lake.
