Limited cell service: Some campgrounds offer a digital detox experience. One camper at Elk Neck State Park enjoys that there's "No cell signal in the campground so the family is forced to disconnect."

Seasonal amenities: Pool access and certain facilities may close during off-season periods. "We stayed over for one night in early December. Showers and bathrooms were great! The honor system of payment at the office makes it really easy to come in late and leave early," notes Galit P. about French Creek State Park.
