Best Cabin Camping near Rockaway Beach, OR

We stayed in the Cabins here, dog friendly, cozy in the winter months, only a couple dog friendly cabins so have to book ahead of time. Sweet campfire, a bit close together. Nice shorter hikes.

The location is perfect, with an easy walk to the beach, making it ideal for those who love the ocean.

The campground offers a variety of amenities, including a pool and hot tub, which are perfect for relaxing after a day of activities. For pet owners, there's a convenient dog park where dogs can run and play.

The RV sites nice, but not very spacious. It is super nice that full hook-ups are standard. Tent sites are also available and offer a comfortable camping experience.

It was wonderful stay… very well looked after place with a nice newspaper delivery in the morning. Staff was super dog loving and friendly. There were little dog fenced areas, which is super thoughtful. The tv park so beautiful planted, reception has this cosy communal area with kitchen, living room ( books dvds games TV) clean showers and spa ( hot tub) , clean laundry room. Super great communication with staff via online. Perhaps only small things like very busy street near by ( which u can’t hear when u are in RV park) and WiFi is weak. The rest is AMAZING !!!!! Thank u !

Stay here for a casual trip to Rockaway Beach! Many driftwood forts and good times.

This is a large campground. We went on July 3rd-4th and the campground was about 3/4 full. No neighbors in the campsite next to us or across from us which made it quite quiet. 

A quick hour and 45 minutes from Portland, about 2 miles outside Rockaway Beach. The fire pits were in immaculate condition and the dinner we cooked over it was very yummy. There is a general store just off the campground boundaries in case you forget some things.

The only reason that isn't getting a full five stars is because you have to pay to take a shower. It's not really THAT big of a deal, and it's only 50 cents; I just wish they would've mentioned it on the website. I will absolutely return to this campground.

Absolutely love the cabins at this place! We live 30 minutes away so it’s the perfect quick get away. Our dog LOVES the dog park too. Amazing views

Weather: beautiful for February/March! Sunny during the day, highs around 50, close to freezing at night. Amenities: Difficult disc golf course, and three hole warm-up course, rental meeting hall available with two charcoal BBQs, two welcome centers, rental cabins, big back-in spaces, tons of hiking trails that link up with. Wooded and serene. We'd rate this a 7.5.

When we Stayed: Early December, Wednesday-Friday

Overall Experience: secluded cabins made for a private, relaxing trip.

Cabins: there is a group of cabins away from the main campground so they're quiet and private. We had a shower, toilet and kitchenette. The parking lot is a bit of a walk from the cabins but they provide wheelbarrows to haul your stuff up to the cabin.

Location: a quick walk down to the beach and easy hiking trails in the woods. The cabins were up on a bluff in the woods so you could just barely see the ocean through the trees.

Fort Stevens is arguably the busiest campground in Oregon. If you go in the middle of the week in January you pretty much have the place to yourself. The deluxe cabins are the place to be in the middle of a windstorm, with four heaters to keep you warm, and a large dry front porch to take your boots off on. Our cabin faced the trees, so it was like a private cabin in the woods near the beach. The fridge was almost full sized, and easily held our meals for the week. Bring lots of pillows and cuddly bedding and snuggle down after a long day of beach combing and storm watching.

Super friendly beach camping sites on the Oregon Coast- cabins are safe and stormproof for great storm watching in winter/spring months. Steps from tidal pools means great beach combing in dry weather!

We headed to the Pacific City in search of fresh air in mid September when much of Oregon was consumed by wildfire smoke. The friendly staff at Cape Kiwanda RV Resort were very welcoming and we opted to stay in one of their cute cabins as rain was forecasted. Cabin N was comfortable and had electric heat, a TV, dorm fridge, microwave, porch swing, outdoor water, BBQ grill, picnic table and outdoor firepit.  The campground had cute wild bunnies hoping around, and amenities such as a playground, full market, and pool.  It's located a quick walk from a beautiful sandy beach, brew pub, coffee shop and other convenient options are nearby.

We stayed in a cabin overlooking the beach. Build a fire at night, watch the stars and listen to the waves crashing in. The cabin was small, a little cramped with 4 adults but is was comfortable and had a little kichen and bath with shower. It is pretty private as well. You need to bring your own linens. Scenic hiking all along the area, Cape Meares is nearby as is Tillamook Cheese Factory, always fun to stop in. Cabins book months ahead and price was reasonable, but you have to plan for it.

We stayed in a cabin here. The cabin was great, perfect size for relaxing for a few days. The kitchen/fridge/front porch grill were great. Full bathroom. We used an air mattress on the bed over the pad that was provided.

The trees/forest were beautiful, and so was the ocean, which is a short walk away. You can sit on the front porch and watch the sunset through the trees while listening to crashing waves. That's hard to beat! We also hiked to Cape Lookout (a little over 9 miles out and back from the cabin). Great vacation!

This is a great campground to stay at if you’re visiting Cannon Beach and nicely centrally located along the coast to visit the surrounding areas. You can walk into town (2.5 blocks) and the spaces are very green with picnic tables at each. Good size spots, not super spacious but good size flat spaces. There are RV(12’-40’)/Tent sites as well as various size cabins. They also have a general store and coffee bar. During the summer they have various horse 🐴 rides along the beach including night rides.

This is a beautiful park.  We've stayed here several times over the years.  My favorite is when I am able to snag a cabin reservation, but tent camping is also very pleasant here.  We're headed back later this summer and I can't wait.

The cabins are located near the day use area, but are back in the trees and feel very private.  There used to be only 3, but I believe there are 7 now.  They are all spaced apart from each other to not feel like you are right next to anyone.  Each cabin has a separate living room space, bedroom, and bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet.  The living room space also has a sink, a microwave, and a small fridge.  The cabins each have a gas grill on the porch as well.

It's about 50-60 yards through to trees to the beach, so the views from the front rooms and porches is amazing!  It's like the best compromise between camping and a motel.  The price is right and the location can't be beat.

We have also enjoyed tent camping many times as well.  The campsites are well maintained and it's easy to get to the beach from camp.

Definitely recommend this campground.
