Not what I hoped.

Small campground with no real shade. Small laundry area. No privacy to speak of. Very conveniently located to sights.

Check your statement for fraudulent extra charges

This place used to be a great place to rent. The host was super friendly and nice. We were regulars who rented yurts a couple of times a year with a group of people. Not sure what has changed, but it has gone downhill. We just rented 4 yurts amongst us and all four yurts got charged a$30 cleaning fee. I don't usually look over my credit card statements and luckily my friend looked at his and told me to check mine. I was also charged twice for a one-day extra car parking and also got an extra$72.48 charge for who knows what. My friends called to dispute the$30 charge which is nowhere on their website or the reservation receipt. We've stayed here for years without such a fee. The only one who got his fee reversed was the one who threatened to get a lawyer. The remainder 3 of us had to dispute the charges with our credit card company since Bay City RV Park would not reverse the charges. If you've reserved recently, go check your bill and get for cleaning fee charge reversed. We will never reverse from this place again and hope to prevent others from being overcharged.

Beware!

My daughter reserved and paid for a yurt there and then ended up having to cancel. She followed the policy for cancellations and per the policy should have received a refund. She has called and left VM and sent many e-mails without a response. As of today she has still not received her refund and it has been over a month. Beware!

Tillamook Bay City RV Park

This is a well-run and nicely appointed RV site with clean showers and rest rooms and an excellent laundry facility. Yurts are available. Campground rules are extensive, reasonable, and rely on common courtesy. A very nice place just north of Tillamook on Hwy 101.

Small CG, convenient location

We are full-timers in a 36 ft Class A with a Cherokee Trailhawk tow. We were in site 8 for 4 days in mid September. The CG is relatively small, and although the sites fairly closely spaced but not right on top of each other, they are angled such that you’re not looking in each others’ windows. The GC itself is very quiet, but there is a fair bit of road noise from US-101, which runs right next to the CG. There is a grassy dog area, along with a mowed path between their wall/fence and 101. AT&T coverage was fair, ranging from 1-2 bars of LTE with speeds up to 2 MB/s. The CG WiFi was descent, with speeds up to 1.2 MB/s. We were able to get DISH coverage on all three western satellites at our site. There were 11 OTA channels to be had with our fixed omni antenna.

Not a Bad Place

All the amenities, with a small playground for kids. Not a bad drive into Tillamook. A little further to some nice beaches and state park areas. Friendly staff. Decent amount of road noise.

RV Park Across the Street from the Beach

No frills RV Park in good location next to beach. Location isn’t particularly scenic, but the access to the beach and its environs is its best attribute. Wi-fi available, which is a plus.

Basic, Clean. Good Location.

I'm not a fan of drive-through/parking-lot-type RV parks, preferring national parks with lots of trees, but this place is nice, basic, friendly, and most of all clean. There's also some nice tent spots on grass/slightly under trees. A great location when you can't find more of a campground. The showers take quarters, which is a bit of a bummer, but overall just fine for a night or two. The location is great. Across the road from the beach, about a mile from Bay City and 5 from Tillamook.
