Third year in a row and it keeps getting better!

This is our third year coming to Cape Kiwanda RV and it keeps getting better. Pool is open, new ownership, awesome gear borrowing system for bikes & Sand boards, delicious pizza, great playground, clean bathrooms and laundry, adorable bunnies… the list goes on. Anything you need is a very very short walk away and the best part… the OCEAN - waking up to the sound of the surf is incredible.

Dory Days at Cape Kiwanda

We have stayed here every year during Dori days for the last seven years. They have a parade in town with vendors along the side of the road. There are lots of little shops and plenty of food. The bar in town has some of the best food we have eaten on the road. The campground is just a short walk to the beach. where you can watch the Dory boats launch and come back in several hours later. We have seen some of the most beautiful sunsets here ever. There are several places to eat, and the food is really good at most of them. There is a little store where you check-in and they also have an indoor pool there. The campground is really nice. Doryland pizza on the right when you enter the park has not been our favorite place to eat for several reasons. Mostly their inability to make a pizza the way you want it (several times) and their customer service has been horrible (prior Covid experiences). We always look forward to staying there. Don’t be surprised if the bunnies visit your campsite.

Beach, pool, hotub and hiking!

Nice place to stay right away the beach, although it is always busy and not quiet. Tons of wild bunnies running around. Pool closes at 6 which is a major bummer. Doryland pizza onsite is tasty and across the street from Pelican Brewing and the beach. In the heart of Pacific City, OR for you surfers or dory boat watchers 🙂

Love Cape Kiwanda

The RV resort itself is small and have narrow sites. But the store is fantastic, being across from Pelican and a short stroll to the beach. You can’t beat it!

Our favorite place on the Oregon Coast

We have been coming here for over 20 years. We love walking across the road to the Pelican Brewery and watching the dories being launched and coming in for the day. The Sunsets are absolutely beautiful with the big haystack rock in the background. The campground has wild bunnies running through the park. The park has a playground, pool access, and a market with fresh sea food.

Cute cabin!

We headed to the Pacific City in search of fresh air in mid September when much of Oregon was consumed by wildfire smoke. The friendly staff at Cape Kiwanda RV Resort were very welcoming and we opted to stay in one of their cute cabins as rain was forecasted. Cabin N was comfortable and had electric heat, a TV, dorm fridge, microwave, porch swing, outdoor water, BBQ grill, picnic table and outdoor firepit.  The campground had cute wild bunnies hoping around, and amenities such as a playground, full market, and pool.  It's located a quick walk from a beautiful sandy beach, brew pub, coffee shop and other convenient options are nearby.

One of our favorite spots!

Location is amazing, across the street from Pelican Brewery and the ocean. Lots of variety in the RV spots. More scenic than Hart’s Camp too. Family friendly with a playground and swimming pool for kids. We love it here!

Pleasantly suprise

We don’t typical like private owned campgrounds but this turned into a nice night! The winter price was equal to what the state parks charge and we were given a nice private site upon request. The park is filled with tame rabbits which was a bit hard to control our hunting dogs. The brewery across the street was a great spot for a birthday dinner and the surfers we’re great to watch!

Location

Everything you need in walking distance and the most beautiful views of the Oregon coast right across the street. Sites are pretty close but since you won’t spend too much time there it’s not an issue.

Amenities and surf

We were in the area to watch some friends compete in the longboard contest. They snuck us in the corner despite being full. Lots of bathrooms with super hot showers. Literally across the street from Pelican Brew and rad surf.
