There’s a reason Oklahomans are more likely to camp than the average American: Home to the country’s most diverse terrain mile-for-mile, Oklahoma comprises more than just the Great Plains. Camping in Oklahoma’s 10 distinct ecoregions–claiming four mountain ranges, sprawling forests, balmy swamps, 28 state parks, and more dam-created lakes than any other state—gives you access to more varied recreation opportunities within a short drive than you’ll find almost anywhere else. 


You can’t go camping in Oklahoma without visiting Lake Texoma, the 12th-largest lake in the US. Spanning the southern Texas-Oklahoma border (hence the name), the biggest of the Sooner State’s 200-plus lakes provides more than 90,000 surface acres of water primed for sailing, kayaking, jet skiing, and especially fishing: Lake Texoma claims more than 70 species of fish, including Striped Bass impressive enough to make it the Striper Capital of the World. Make sure to pick up a fishing license!


Out of the water, Lake Texoma campers can observe migratory birds and wild hogs in two wildlife preserves, lead horses through 25 miles of equestrian trails, hike 14 miles along lakeside bluffs, and retire to one of more than 700 campsites. Plenty of showers, toilets, potable water points, and RV hookups mean campers have the option to sleep rugged or glamp easy. 


When you’ve had your fill of sand and surf, travel to the opposite end of the state for Alabaster Caverns State Park. When an inland sea evaporated millions of years ago, it left behind a real gem: gypsum deposits that developed into some of the world’s largest crystal caves open to tours and wild caving. The biggest highlights of Alabaster Caverns State Park are a three-quarter-mile, 50-foot-tall main cavern, natural bridges, five species of bats, RV camping right near the caves, and best of all, the opportunity to camp in a cavern with a waterfall. For $40, you can rent the Water Cavern, which includes raised sleeping platforms and the option to sleep outside if need be. 


Give everyone in your party easy access to the recreation of their choice by camping in Oklahoma only an hour or two from state capitol. Oklahoma City is smack-dab in the center of Oklahoma, making it easy to get a dose of nature without straying too far from nightlife in the state’s biggest metro area. Hike to 2,500 feet and rock climb routes in the storied Wichita Mountains, then explore all 12,500 acres of Lake Murray State Park—the state’s oldest and biggest state park.

The space

Simple restful Artisan retreat for ONE (or two snugglers ) in a Treehouse located in Full Shade Certified Wildlife Habitat Garden.

\*\*The upper Treehouse Treetop sleeping level is a SMALL one-room space only 64 sq. feet interior plus the upper deck. There is one double bed SET WITH ONLY SHEETS and one blanket plus full electricity which allows for very comfortable sleeping and just hanging out. There is a superfan for warm weather and a small electric heater for cooler evenings…there is NO central air conditioning or heat! The walls do not have insulation in them. Air flows in and out with randomness.

\*\*The Flipside ROOT level area of the TREEHOUSE is much larger with decks Outside Open To The Elements. There is a covered bench area, outside table and chairs, outside lounge chair, outdoor kitchenette (sink, two-burner stove, and basic cooking supplies) and there is a community art project in progress for u to add to if u wish. There is also a CEDAR Outdoor Shower and camping toilet area. (Hot steamy water when temps are above freezing only. For sure NOT in JanFebMarch which is our only winter here in Oklahoma)

\*\*Treehouse is located in a residential neighborhood and backs up to a pond where wildlife critters can be viewed as long as you never go over there not ever. Goose ❤Swan love story happening over there.

\*\*If you are looking for a unique space that is peaceful and quiet (or being part of a creative community) you will enjoy staying with us and we will enjoy hosting you! Our family of artists also lives on the property and we are very respectful of your privacy while also being on hand in case you might need anything else.

The lumber, paints, screws, tin roof, yard art, kitchen, windows, fabrics, and doors sent to the curb for the trash man, left behind to fill another landfill. All recreated into what it is today. Even all the landscaping!

\*\*Firepits don't light when it has been raining. No there is not a TV. Leaves aren't on trees in the winter. Ladybugs, Bees, and other crawlie or flying things are beautiful creatures. My garden is a polinator-friendly Certified Wildlife Habitat. No, It does not rain inside the treehouse. Yes, we are 5 blocks off of Rt 66 and you will hear the highway cuz we are right in the middle of the city- especially when there are no leaves on the trees. Ducks at the neighbor's pond quack all night long, random dogs bark, singing birds will wake you in the morning and coolers only have food and ice in them if you bring that all yourself.

\*\* If you like the outdoors, mother nature, and all of her creatures – then this is for you. If the sight of a bug has you running and screaming – this is not for you. If you need an air-tight temperature-controlled space – this is not for you. If you want to slow down, breathe in the fresh air – then this is for you.

There is no one in the Treehouse for a full 8 hours before and after each guest to allow for cleaning and additional air flowability. Dishes for kitchen CAMP cooking are now available at request only and will not be stored outside unless wanted. To continue offering no additional cleaning fees, before leaving your stay guests will be required to take out their own trash including their camping toilet bag. Please bring your own pillow and blanket.

Peace, tranquility, and a luxurious glamping experience await you at the 3 Oaks. Nestled on top of a hill overlooking a large fully stocked fishing pond in the rolling plains of the great Oklahoma wilderness. Spend the day at Sparks Vineyard & Winery only a 20 minute drive away! 

We have a 3 D Archery course and Kayak, Bed and Breakfast and a traditional evening South African Braai (BBQ) all available on request only! Catch and release Bass, Crappie, Catfish, and Perch are also available.

The Space:

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! 

Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed with a memory foam mattress. The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that___s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. 

Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. 

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

-S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat
-A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling 
-Bedding and pillows

Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location.

If a Tentrr Host submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the host's property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your confirmation email. Your Tentrr Host is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf, and they are unable to waive any cancellation fees (if applicable).
