Best Campgrounds near Enid, OK

My husband and I rented a little cabin for an anniversary getaway. Cabin was clean, and grounds were well kept. We called for fresh bedding, and they were happy to help. The bed was large and comfy, and pillows were soft. There is a t.v., kitchenette, and bathroom with shower. We went in January, so there were no crowds.

I've been to Lake Carl Blackwell a number of times, and that place is excellently kept. Large lake ran by OSU. Eight miles west of Stillwater (and a hospital) where restaurants and provisions can be found. The lake has cabin, R.V., and tent spot rentals along with kayak and golf cart rentals at the gas station/convenient store by the lake.

A wonderful campground that is free in the winter with no amenities available at that time. I spent about a week here at the beginning of February and didn't see anyone else the entire time. Very safe and love the covered picnic tables. Highly recommended

We booked a month stay here as my family is from Stillwater. We stayed during Dec-Jan, so there was no game day craziness. The park is small, in the smack middle of town, and has minimal amenities. But it’s within walking distance of campus, great food, and shopping options. We mainly appreciated the free laundry on site and the large shower rooms. There were no picnic tables, fire pits, or doggy bags/trash. There is no manager on site, at least not during the off-peak season. A bit pricey as the charge a flat rate plus electric usage. Significantly more expensive durning OSU events and games, so plan ahead!

I go there on weekdays. Very quiet, No traffic! Good place to fly the drone.

Very nice campground. Open views of the lake. Very laid back and relaxing. Roomy. Well up kept. Good showers and restrooms. Stayed in tent on site with water and electricity. Paid $25. Would stay again.

Happened across this place from a Facebook posting by the owners and decided to check it out. Not yet gone but will be this summer. Seen it is a new place that is Veteran Owned so I wanted to help bring business by establishing them on this platform. So for those that see this, please help spread the word. Thank you.

Quiet campground with river views

No cell service around the park at all. No over the air tv. Great place to bring your kids if you want them to put the phones down and spend quality time with you.

Campsites are very close together. There is no picnic table and the fire grate things were all bent and not usable.

Trails poorly marked

It is beautiful out here but if more people had been out camping I hate to think how loud and crowded it would have been.

This is definitely a party campground, so if that is your thing you will enjoy. Just not my cup of tea. Sites are nice and there is room, but not private at all. Best sites in Beaver Cove are 25, 26, 27. Site 27 has shade but is hard to back into. Site 26 is the best for views if it’s not hot hot summer. Bathrooms get a no star. 2 vault toilets at campground. 2 showers you have to drive to and they are an odd set up with zero privacy and water spraying all over your towel and clean clothes. Hot water was almost non-existent. While the views are pretty, the lake is way down due to drought. Fishing looks good. I will probably look elsewhere if in this area again.

There were some scary reviews out there. We are new to camping but we know "it's like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get." It seemed kind of loose when we called before arrival but it was fine. Basically find a spot. The park was mostly empty with a few long timers. But this sites were clean and well kept. The sites were clean and open. Easy parking, easy hookup and easy departure. If you need to stop for the night, don't pass this one by. Price, proximity to I35, and cleanliness are all positives. Good luck.

Stopped here for an overnight stay before last travel day home. Nice level concrete pads (pull through) made getting setup easy. Full hook ups so our tanks were dumped when we left. The restaurant has great breakfast at a really good price.

We really enjoyed this campsite. Lots of trees and grass. Since sites are on different levels, most everyone has a good view of the lake. Sites are not too close and are at an angle, which makes it more private.

Me and my family love staying here. Great place to fish and lots of wildlife to see. Even a swimming area on the lake

Lakeside spots are spacious and well kept. Be prepared for flying bugs. Lake is great for swimming with shallow flat bottom.
