Currently at the Blue there is no charge for camping, however campers must have an annual fishing or hunting license or a Blue River Passport in lieu of the license. Campsite availability is on a first come first serve basis; no reservations. The Blue offers primitive camping at it's best. The beautiful and rustic setting is a campers dream.
Area 1 Area 1 runs downstream from Hughes Crossing and is one mile long. There are 29 campsites in Area 1 along with four parking spots. At the end of Area 1 is a large camping site that can be used for group camping. There are two primitive rest room facilities in Area 1. Area 1 consists of five large falls with a number of smaller ripples, forks, and branches. During season trout can be seen rising quite often in some of the slower pools above the heads of the smaller falls.
Area 2 Area 2 is upstream from Hughes Crossing on the west side of the river. Including the parking area Area 2 offers 41 camping spots and the parking area is often used by RV owners. There is one primitive bath room facility at the north end of Area 2 and a bath room facility close to the parking area. There are seven larger falls within Area 2 and a number of ripples, pools, and eddies. From the north end of Area 2, anglers can take a trail that will lead to Desperado Springs and the south walk in trail of the south wildnerness Area.
Area 3 Area 3 is across Hughes Crossing and has 4 campsites. There is a primitive rest room facility nearby. Area 3 is a more remote camping site and access to the river is by walk in.
Area 4 Area 4 is a remote campsite with two campsites. This area is for those wanting to get away from it all. Walk in access to the river. No primitive rest room facilities.
Areas 5 & 6 There are two campsites at Area 5. Area 5 is located across from the south end of Area 1. Campsites are located on a bluff overlooking a beautiful falls. No primitive rest room facilities.
Area 6 is one large group area which can easily accomodate 15 to 20 tents. A primitive rest room located at Area 6. Area 6 and the upstream area is known as the "mystic" place and enchanted woods of Blue River. The upstream water forks and splits several directions creating intimate waterways.

The rolling hillside is part of the Crosstimbers (covered with partial prairie and partial forest) and offers abundant opportunities for wildlife viewing and recreational enjoyment.

Lake Texoma State Park's overnight facilities include RV and tent campgrounds. Reservations for campsites must be made online. RV sites have full hook-ups with water, sewer and electric and some with water and electric. Tent sites are available as well. The on-site Rally Campground offers an open grass area with 16 electric clusters accommodating up to four units each with 30 amp electric and water service.

Into motorcycles or not you will be treated like family here. Many different types of spots to chose from. They will do everything humanly possible to make your stay wonderful.
Taught my two boys at 8 & 9 years old how to camp and fish there 31 years ago. Had many good times. Wish I could go back in time. 🥲 Did a lot of camping with the boys . Winter or fall was best. Large camp fire,many blankets. And a good tent. Still have my VCR tapes camping. . And the VCR player.😂😂 Would usually camp across the spill way 2nd area to the right. Also I'd recommend the last camping spot to the right at the very end you can walk down to the river and fish. Nice open area with trails to the river. Was always a Bass man but learned how to trout fish there. I would check when trout tournaments are going on. Gets very crowded. Wish I could go back in time. I've camped there when I was the only person camping. One of the things I didn't like was when camping trailers would come to camp . Sometimes you would hear their generators start up across the river but most of the time very nice and peaceful. I always camped across the river. Highly recommend this place for family and someone that just wants peace and quiet which is most of the time out there. Would recommend going during the week, weekends tend to get a little crowded summertime. swimming and fishing. Wildlife. Before entering the river I would stop at Scotty's bait shop which 30 years ago had great breakfast all the supplies you need and Scotty was a really really nice guy let me fish on his property when my boys were small because we weren't catching anything at the river hopefully he's been doing well. Just remember… take with you what you brought and a little extra that someone left. Keep it clean and nice for our future campers. The boys and I always brought shovel and toilet paper. At that time there was only one main brick bathroom. Usually too many hornets and wasp so we just dug a hole and buried it you know what I mean haha camping in the woods. I was just passing through on a road trip and needing a cheap place to spend the night, but this was the kind of park I’d actually come back to and hang out in. The camp sites are spread out and clean. The lake views are beautiful. There are tons of activities like hiking, fishing, or paddle boarding.
I booked here for the FHU sites, but was not overly impressed. The Bois loop pull throughs, although paved, were severely sloped and hard to level. The hiking trails were not that great either. Convenient off 75.
We had had a blowout on our rv and needed to stay the night instead of finishing our travel they answered the phone on a Sunday which surprised me (I had call around) The lady at the desk was so helpful and informed us about discounts my husband was missing because of his service (National Guard Vet) which has been so greatly appreciated! The spot was unleveled but that’s no big deal if you have leveling blocks. Very beautiful and quiet when we visited in early August. The man in charge when we left was very helpful and mingled a moment with my husband before we headed home nice people and clean establishment definitely will be going back
I have camped here many times. The park is well maintained and offers beautiful hiking trails and scenery. It is also safe with plenty of staff making rounds to ensure everyone's safety. I have stayed at their pull through camper sites, shelters, as well as tent camping with no complaints. The park is also undergoing construction upgrades and new paved roads ATM but the areas are clearly identified on their website. Definitely a family friendly park with plenty of wildlife to enjoy!
This is one of our favorite tent and trailer camping locations in Oklahoma. It is quiet with all the hookups you need plus restrooms and showers within in a close walk on Loop C where reservations are required. Great sunset views over the Lake of the Arbuckles, great hiking in the Chickasaw National Recreation Area, and close shopping in Sulphur.
Really enjoyed Buckhorn, but I like The Point better just because there’s less of it. We were on loop C by the water which was nice but really pretty busy spot to be. Facilities are super clean and a great spot for families. We had a tent and a trailer and PLENTY of room for more if we needed to.
This is a nice shady spot with a lot of space for a few tents or an rv. Space has electric and a nice lake view. You do have to walk down the hill and through some sand to get to the beach.

This is a nice campground with decently wooded sites. The site I sated had water, electric, a picnic table, a fire pit and a lantern post. There was a flat spot to set up my tent. The campground had decent star views and was a short walk to clean pit toilets. The showers were a short drive away and were also clean.
This is a nice campground on the shore of a small man made lake. The lake has a boat ramp and fishing pier. Some of the sites need minor repairs and the some disgusting person made a mess of the men's pit toilet but the a crew cleaned it in the morning. The campground has decent views of the stars especially looking north. The site I chose was close to the lake and relatively level.
I didn’t have many sites to choose from online and really lucked out! Overall the everything was well maintained, the campground host at the time was very friendly, and so was everyone else around. I was tent camping, but it seemed like at least 2/3 of the people had some kind of and RV so there are a lot of lights on all night, but nothing too obtrusive. Bathrooms were very clean and showers had hot water. There was also a nice beach for swimming.
Very much enjoyed out stay. My two pups loved the site and how close it was to the Chicksaw Recreation Area. We loved everything!
We had such a great time while camping here. The sites were a good size and had lots of shade. We had an amazing view of the lake! We stayed at site 13 on loop B and we were located close to the bath house, which was very convenient. We did not have access to the lake at our site. Our pad was pretty level, not a concrete pad though. The campsites seemed close to each other. Unfortunately I was not able to find a campground map. The beaches were clean and had legit beach sand, which was very nice! This was a great stay, I recommend!
Nice swimming area for the two young kids. Water hookups right next to campsite. Lots of ants at the campground meant a trip to the store for more bug killer. Woken up one morning by park worker mowing near our tent which sprayed our bags with clippings. Not many shade spots so beware if it is hot. Decent stay overall.
Staff were amazing. So helpful and so friendly. The campground is a work in progress but they are doing a great job. The rv spots are shaded. Electric and water but no sewer if you’re close to the river which we were. The cabins are adorable and their general store was so cute! They have a community kitchen anyone can use! The river was low but very enjoyable. The only annoyance were the multitude of ATVs using the campground roads and the river bed instead of sticking to the ATV trails (and there are lots of them). Our particular neighbors didn’t acknowledge 11pm quiet time but everyone else did. Overall we will definitely be back soon!
Loved our stay here in the tent section. Trees provided much needed shade, yet enough for solar to stay charged. Restrooms were close, showers were a little bit of a walk. Each tent site has a table and fire pit. Lovely views of lake Texoma. Great hiking and rock climbing opportunities. The marina store is a short walk away and you can rent kayaks and canoes!
Stayed in the tent section for $10/night during spring break. Easy reservation process on Recreation.gov. Water and trash were close by. Pit toilets were a bit of a walk. Showers and flush toilets were in the section with hook ups. Mainly RV’s there, some tents, vans, etc. Amazing views of Lake Texoma!!
Not a huge fan of camping in state park campgrounds, but this is a very nice option. Had a group campout here with those new to camping. Having easy access to bathhouses and power made it easier to have more people show up. Eisenhower has great hiking options and sells firewood on site
If you are looking for something with a guaranteed site over the weekend, but still have a “dispersed” experience, this is a solid option. Site 47 is my favorite, with extra space to spread out and the furthest away from the noise.
The wind can be a bit much in a RTT, but overall it’s not terrible.
Great campground! Plenty of dispersed sites, with no cell phone access (visible on Verizon towers) which makes the trip more enjoyable.
This park has water and electric, some sites with sewer also. There did not seem to be a campground host in the park. The bathrooms were not well maintained. If you don't like fishing there is not much else to do in the campground. We did see a lot of birds along the shoreline. If you need to go to town for anything you will need to go back to Texas. Cartwright, OK appears to be very high poverty.
We stayed in Loop C, site 48. Had to book about a month in advance, and didn’t have but 3 spots to pick from. Camp site was clean, and although far from the C comfort station, it was a short walk to the D comfort station.
Site had a picnic table, fire pit and lantern hook, with a nice flat area for any tent camping. We were in a teardrop, so the 2 parking spots made it really easy to back the teardrop in and park next to it. Campsites are pretty close together, so you can definitely hear your neighbors, but the trees do provide lots of screening. Easy walk to the lakeshore for some shoreline fishing, and campground itself is a quick 10-minute drive from town and the main park area.
Definitely a beautiful area of Oklahoma, and an easy campground to stay at. Would recommend to anyone.
