ATTENTION CAMPERS - Lakeside campground (Sections D, E, and F) on beautiful Lake Texoma will be closed to all reservations until further notice. Contractors will be renovating all campsites in D and E sections, and to better facilitate construction activities, the F section will be closed as well to allow for heavy equipment operation and vehicles to pass through the area without affecting campers. These much-needed improvements will include the construction of concrete impact areas adjacent to RV pads, retaining walls on lower elevation sites, installation of new camping amenities (picnic tables, grills, utility tables, electric pedestals, and shade canopies). This also includes upgrades of existing waterlines, and electrical service to 50amp. Reservations (Sections D, E, and F) beginning after the closure period could possibly be effected by the current ongoing construction/site upgrades which may result in cancellation. If you have questions, please contact the Lake Texoma Project Office at 903-465-4990.

Lake Texoma
Overview
Lakeside Campground is located on Lake Texoma in Oklahoma's Cross Timbers Region. The lake is said to be the "Playground of the Southwest," where outdoor activities like fishing, boating, hiking and hunting abound.
Recreation
Lake Texoma is a large reservoir with an excellent fishery and many access points. Boating, swimming, water skiing, hunting, birding and relaxing on the sandy beaches are the typical pursuits of most visitors. The lake is known as the "Striper Capital of the World," one of the few reservoirs in the nation where striped bass reproduce naturally. Other popular species include largemouth and smallmouth bass, white bass, hybrid striped bass, white crappie, black crappie, channel catfish and blue catfish. Also available is the scenic Cross Timbers hiking trail, a very popular trail that winds for 14 miles above the lake on rocky ledges and through blackjack woodland. Forty miles of equestrian trails surround the lake as well.
Facilities
This popular campground offers 137 campsites, most of which have electrical and water hookups. A large, day-use group picnic shelter is available with hookups as well. Other amenities include flush and vault toilets, showers, and drinking water. Two dump stations, two boat ramps and two docks are located on-site.
Natural Features
The campground is situated on the eastern side of Lake Texoma. Post and blackjack oaks forest the rolling hills of the region. Deer, turkey, bobcats, hawks, waterfowl and songbirds are abundant around the lake.
Nearby Attractions
The lake features two wildlife refuges, two state parks, and 23 commercial concession areas dedicated to the enjoyment of over six million visitors annually.

Very good lake Texoma camping on the Oklahoma side
Most rv sites are 30 amp. Section B is 50 amp. Sites are water and electric, no sewer sites. There are 2 dump sites on the way out. Most sites are mowed except f section. Bring your own weed eater. Sand burrs are noted in multiple locations throughout the park. I had 5G 4 bars with T Mobile. Sites are asphault and generally spaced apart so you are not right on top of each other. All sites are reserved and paid on line before you arrive. They need to upgrade sites to 50 amp
Nice Park
We were in B loop. Our first time out with our new camper. We were off by ourselves. Nice spot, except grass was a bit high and ants were a big problem.
However, just watched where we stepped and it was ok. We walked all over the place, did some sight seeing in other areas.

Rained out but nice area
We reserved in area D (tent camping no electric) for 2 nights. We got in the first night around 8 and it was pouring rain. So we did not stay the night. We returned early the next morning and were able to set up camp. They have concrete picnic tables, fire rings and the area we were in had a bathhouse. Stalls had a toilet, sink and shower area. The sites were pretty close together. Our neighbors were very friendly but I like having a little more space. Overall it was a good time. Just not as secluded as we are used to and the rain kind of put a damper on things.
