Fishermen, you’ll love our campground! We are located right on the Delaware River just above the famous Kellam’s Bridge. You can catch the shad running in the early spring. We have some of the best fishing along the river; with scrappy, small mouth bass, trout, and walleye.

We are a family owned campground, where you can enjoy the privacy and tranquility of the river, with room to breathe! You will marvel at the wildlife that is natural to this area. You may even spot a soaring eagle or two that nest nearby.

The Upper Delaware has been preserved and unspoiled by the families that have lived on the river for centuries.

So bring your tent, trailer, or RV to the Soaring Eagle Campground and enjoy our hospitality.

Beaver Pond Campground — Harriman State Park

    Quiet, off-season, mid-week retreat

We stayed here on a Thursday night in September prior to taking off backpacking. The campground was clean and quiet. RV hook-ups, tent platforms, and rustic tent sites were available. Our rustic tent site had a few good options for pitching a tent, as well as picnic table and fire ring.

Ranger said that during summer weekends the grounds fill up and can be quite noisy, but mid-week during the off-season it was great. Expect to purchase firewood, although scrounging for kindling was possible. Facilities were clean and what you'd expect from a campground.

    Would definitely return!!

    Beautiful campground

As part of the Thousand Trails group, this campground has many amenities. It offers a pool, playground, and activities that include bocce ball, shuffleboard, and horseshoes. We loved our full hookup site minus the neighbors’ weekend ragers. (At least they turned off the music at quiet hours).

The creek that runs by the campground is gorgeous, and my kids had fun finding Crayfish.

The nearby towns are adorable and offer shopping, hiking, farms, and more.

    Very Nice! TT encore campgrounds

This is a Thousand trails campground so it was free. I think the regular price is $64. Full hookups, tents and cabins to rent. Pleanty to do in and around campground. Grounds has a pool, concession stand, game room, playgrounds, sports feild and more. Sites are well groomed. We had one and a babbling brook was 30 feet behind us. Great spot for morning coffee. Clean restrooms, showers and laundry. Dump stations if need and a service to come to your rig to collect waste if you don't want to move it. Local shops just minutes from campgrounds. Walmart and other bigger shops just a short drive away! Scenic Willride on 44-55 to Mohonk House and trails. We be going back.

My first TT stay and it's better than expcted

This was my first stay at any TT campground and I wasn't sure what to expect with this campground as the reviews are so mixed. While I don't have other TT campgrounds to compare this to, I do have a lot of experience in state parks and private campgrounds. If you are looking for an RV resort-type place, this isn't it. If you are looking for a CAMPground, this is a wonderful place! The grounds are well-kept and the bathrooms are clean. Th campground itself is pretty quiet, although there is some noise by the playground. Once school is out, I'm sure it will be busier.

The only problem I had was that my Starlink didn't work at the first site (372 - full hookup) but they let me choose another site (435 - no sewer) and I was happy as a clam. Oh yea, the sewer connection in 372 ran uphill for me, but my pipe sits very low.

    Interlake RV Park & Campground

Full amenities - stay for a few days or a season; lots to keep you occupied

It took me a while to identify a campground that was convenient for exploring the Hyde Park area, in particular the FDR National Historic Site (20-30 minutes away) and the Walkway over the Hudson, but this campground also offers plenty to keep the whole family occupied. It was Christmas in July while I was there, with decorations and planned activities to accompany it. All these amenities do come at a price. This year the most basic site with water costs $46; add electric on up to sewer and cable tv and you'll pay as much as $60/night.

With that you get free wi-fi, a heated pool, a lake for fishing and boating, a game room and snack bar, movies, other sports, and the security of a gated entrance. That's great if you're a family looking for entertainment for your kids, but I spent so much of my days running around exploring the area that I didn't feel I got my money's worth. Sites are close, some are sunnier than others. I was below the bath house/rec hall, but wasn't disturbed by lights or noise (I was in a tent) except from my next door neighbors.

If you don't need all the amenities, check out state parks in the area, but if you've got kids and want full hook-ups, want a snack bar so you don't always have to cook, I doubt you could beat the offerings here at Interlake RV Park.

    Mahlon Dickerson Reservation

    Nice, small, spacious campground

We stayed at site 15 for 5 days. The sites are nicely wooded, very well spaced, fairly level with 50A service and water hookup. Although the water spigots were shared between sites, they provide hose caddies that should reach most RV hookups. No sewer hookup, but there is a convenient dump station. There are no fire rings in the RV section, only raised grills. We had the place pretty much to ourselves during the week, but the weekend did get busy. AT&T had ok data connection with 1-2 bars most of the time. There is no satellite coverage due to the heavy tree canopy. OTA TV was very inconsistent using an external omni antenna. There is no WiFi. There is a very nice network of trails in the reservation, most if not all were leashed dog friendly. There is a very nice restaurant, Stone Water, less than 10 miles away and is right on lake Hopatcong.

Pickerel Point Campground — Promised Land State Park

    Pickerel Point

Promised Land has several campgrounds, but Pickerel Point is our favorite. Some sites are right on the lake, just put the kayak on the shore, and you're ready for an early morning paddle. Another nice feature is the beach at the end of the peninsula - no need to drive to the crowded day use area. Bathrooms are the nicest I've ever seen in a campground. Available sites range from walk-in to RV hookups. There's plenty of hiking and fishing in the park, and even more to do not far away. It just isn't summer unless we spend some time at our favorite home away from home!

    Kittatinny Canoes River Beach Campsites

Just don’t! Not unless you have to…

Look, I know that it takes all types… but this place is a no go.. Falsely advertised full hook ups to find out the sites are electric/water only. The facilities are completely trashed and moldy with no sign of up keep… They make you wear these ridiculous are bands that get you nothing… They just mark you separate as a camper vs the people coming for water sports… This place is marketed toward tent campers so there are minimal spots for RVers, and yet they allow tent campers to set up in the few RV sites. First night we had a family of 10 show up at 10:40pm to start setting up their tent campsites in an rv spot, and they partied way into the wee hours of morning… Second day was a Friday and it just became significantly worse. No one holds campers accountable to quiet times here, and please don’t take it the wrong way because my husband and I love to have fun, but at 2 am, it’s a little excessive… every site is completely trashed when everyone leaves and they’ve only got one real employee that seems to be busting his butt around the campground… my last complaint would have to be that the park services and EMS kept showing up to try and apprehend these fanboat people in the river. Otherwise it has the potential to be one of the most beautiful parks we have stayed this far.

    Great state park

Bring your bikes and kayaks. Camped here numerous times. Some sites full hook up, and some more private than others. Nice bike loop around lake, many hiking trails, beach to swim and watch sunset. Does get crowded because it is popular. Lower lake campground is less crowded but sites close together and not as nice a view.

    Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Gardiner

    Chillaxing Getaway

We stayed at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort along the Walllkill River in Gardiner, NY, for a four-night chill-out vacation. We’re so glad we did!

Our site was called Riverfront Red Carpet. It was spacious, level, waterfront, and partially shaded thanks to some mature trees. Site#22 included a large concrete pad, picnic table, charcoal grill, and large fire ring. Everything was in great condition. It was nice having plenty of space to not be on top of our neighbors. We had full hookups with 50-amp electrical service- which all worked fine.

The entire park seemed to be well maintained and clean. There’s a small waterpark which seemed good for younger kids, an eatery, and ice cream shop. The camp store was well-stocked with food, camping supplies, and souvenirs. There is a game room and multiple bath houses(which we didn’t use). The park’s roadways are all paved and easy to navigate. Despite being nearly filled to capacity including tons of young children, the park was quiet each night with no noisy ‘bad campers.’

We found our interactions with the staff to be helpful and attentive. We really appreciate friendly staff.

Overall, this was a great stay at a great RV park. I’d only mention two negatives, neither was a big deal. It took 45-minutes to check-in. In fairness, we arrived at check-in time(3:00 PM) on a Sunday. There were a dozen other RVs checking in at the same time and they just weren’t equipped for that. Also, our Verizon cell service was practically non-existent and the park’s wifi service was just as horrible. If we needed connectivity, this would have been a major problem. I reduced a star in my review simply because it’s 2021 and wifi has become an expectation.

We booked on campspot.com and paid$196 per night+$35 to lock our site+$2 booking fee less a 20% promo discount.

    Great Stopover Campground

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Mountain Top and were were impressed by the exceptional experience and service provided by the owners. The newly upgraded camp infrastructure elevated the stay, providing amenities for comfort and entertainment. The family-friendly atmosphere was evident through the thoughtfully designed property, including an updated pool, playground, game room, and a brand-new pickleball court that added a unique touch to the stay. The investment in new 50amp wiring, upgraded sewer systems, and newer water lines  provided convenient camping experience. Overall, this campground exceeded expectations, offering a blend of modern convenience and family-oriented fun that made our stay memorable.

The video posted shows the full hook-up area. The water and electric sites and tent sites were tucked away in a more wooded environment.

    Jerry's Three River Campground

    Friendly and fun!

I have been camping at Jerry’s for over 10 years now. The owner is friendly and stops to chat often with us each time we go. The campground is VERY rustic with little to no amenities. There are tent sites, seasonal sites for RVs, group tent & RV sites and group/pavilion sites. There are little to no sites with electric/water hook ups however, there is a centrally located water spout to use. There are bathrooms/wash houses- they are cleaned once or twice a day but honestly, they get filthy. Jerry’s is a good place for a great time with friends; large groups usually visit Jerry’s year after year. No one bothers you and everyone respects the rules, most of the time. ☺️ We have taken our children there often but I wouldn’t recommend or call it family friendly. The location is beautiful and about 2 hours from NYC.

    Rip Van Winkle Campgrounds

Okay campground, very tight fit for large rigs, and a bit rundown

So this campground was a mixed bag for us. We enjoyed the activities, and the site itself was nice, but there were some definite issues. Positives: There are lots of things to do in the park, especially for kids, as many other reviews have discussed. The lots are large and nicely wooded with working full hookups and good water pressure. Negatives: Roads: We have a large 5th wheel RV, and we were assured that it would fit. It did- technically. We were within 2 inches or less of trees on 4 or 5 instances getting in and out of our site, and I had to drive off of the road on several occasions to make it through. We are used to a tight fit in RV parks, but this was over the top. They need to clear some of the roads if they are going to accommodate rigs over 40'. Activity equipment: So although there were tons of activities and playgrounds, unfortunately a lot of the equipment was run down or not working. The arcade only had a few games that actually still worked, and at least 2 of the playgrounds need to be torn down because they are in such bad shape. Permanent campers: It seemed like at least half of the sites were occupied by permanent or semi-permanent residents, as they had structures built around their rigs, lots of decorations, etc. In some cases, it looked like the rigs were owned by people who came in on the weekend, or stayed part-time, and most of those RV's were fine. However, there was a significant number of people who obviously lived in their run-down RV's, and those sites were invariably filled with junk and were poorly kept. Additionally, some of the"permanent" residents rode circuits around the park in their golf carts, and were very unfriendly towards us. Booking site: Online booking is not done through the park's website, instead you are directed to a 3rd party site that requires a separate account and is very difficult to navigate. It contained a few dead links and required the booking party to sign several online forms about campsite rules, but some of the required signature areas didn't actually contain any forms. You were just signing a blank area in the site with no associated info. The site then required some sort of approval process for the booking to be confirmed. I received an email that the approval was partially completed, and then never got anything else. I had to call the site to confirm my reservation went through. I also never received any kind of check-in info prior to arrival. We camped at Rip Van Winkle Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

    Good little campground

Not a very big place but good family atmosphere. Sites are a bit small but well maintained. There’s a fishing pond with a small beach and paddle boats. There’s full hookups, a pavilion and the staff tries to have activities going on every weekend. On the down side most campers are seasonal so it’s hard to get a site.

    Black Bear RV Park

    Campground with hookups

Rita who helped make our reservation is a treasure. Extremely helpful! Basic sites with full hookups for about $80 a night. All the buildings are closed due to Covid, so no laundry & no bathroom.

Pickerel Point Campground — Promised Land State Park

    Small but beautiful

This was our first visit to this state park and it didn’t disappoint. We were in an electric site #112 and friends were in a full hookup site by the bath house. Our site was well shaded for most of the day. It backed up to another site that was kinda close. There wasn’t a view of the lake but it was a short walk to the beach area for swimming. Sump station was across the road in a different loop. The rod into the campground was full of pot holes. Take a hike around Conservation Island. It’s very flat and an easy walk/hike. Dog friendly.

    Keen Lake Resort Campground

    Awesome campground on Keen Lake

Keen Lake Campground, as it’s name implies, is an amazing campground situated along the shores of a lake. They have several sites with a water view. The sites are average in size. The site we had was a little tight to get into, but we had enough room to enjoy our site. The campground itself is a little hilly, but the sites were pretty level. We had full hookups.

The campground has a nice pool, a well stocked store with ice cream, toys, camping supplies, and basic groceries. Everyone in the store was extremely nice and helpful. You can also rent paddle boats and disc boats to paddle around the lake for a very reasonable cost.

    Covered Bridge Campsite

    Quiet nice campground

Campground is very nice with a younger guy who runs it. There was a temporary issue with the well pump but he called us ahead of time to let us know and made sure we had an enjoyable stay while we were there with tips for where to find good hiking and a bit of firewood. Some of the campsites are a bit strange in their layout due to the stream that runs around the grounds and the way the land is but it worked really well for what we were going for. A good chunk of the RV spots are seasonal where the RV is kept there year round. You can see some of the work the new ownership is doing and I'm sure it'll be looking even better with time. Would recommend with the only caveat that if you have a large tent (3+ people) call ahead to make sure you will have the space on the site you are looking at for the text to comfortably fit.
