Great Location, Beautiful Beach!

We had a great time at Indian Island, even if it was just for a short stay. The beach was within walking distance, lots of little trails, and plenty of activities for the whole family. The bathrooms were mostly clean, and the shower was hot. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the campsites…

I go every summer

One of my favorite places to camp on Long Island. Beach is a 2 minute walk and the campground are right outside town of Montauk . Not dog friendly

Great Weekend

This trip was too short!

We really liked this location, you can see your neighbors, but each site has nice space.

It was a quick walk down to the beach.

The LI sound is definitely different from the ocean, but still nice. There was a nice little camp store, and by the beach another store and…

Campground with a Beach

This campground is very close to our home. Our family has camped here multiple times. Pre pandemic it was less busy. Now, most every site is full. If you are looking for a site it’s best to book far in advance. If it’s last second, check periodically through out the day to see if there have been…

Nice Beach Dirty Restrooms

Quiet during weekdays, we were on the crane loop inside, a little too wide open for my taste without a clear definition of the sites. It appears that youngsters run the place , very polite and helpful. What they need is some better guidance from management as to cleaning & upkeep of…

June Camping

Clean average sized lot. Huge bonus was the beach and being about to spend one full afternoon there. We highly enjoyed and early morning walk to the beach as well probably took 20 min from out site to the water. Seemed to be a bit noisy over night, a lot of late night car movement and driving…

Short distance to the beach

Nice cozy campsite in a small loop. Relatively clean bathroom. Water stained due to age, but not dirty. Washing station at the bathroom.

Short bike ride to the beach. Can also drive if preferred. Though some cars do go over the speed limit...

You can hear the train in the background, not loud…

  • warm water. no temperature control and you need to push the button every so often.

Crowded Campground, but Excellent CT Beach!

To be fair, I stumbled upon this site last minute with zero expectations.

The site I was able to snag had quite the puddle in the middle of it and the campground was loaded with several large groups.

Many kids on bikes (which I didn't mind and actually really enjoyed biking from my site down to…

Perfect for a stop over

Small campground with good electrical, clean water, sewer and a friendly owner. Each site has grass and a picnic table. There is a wonderful little frozen custard shop down the road called roses farm stand. It’s a perfect campground for seeing the local area or even catching the train to New York…

Pleasant Surprise

This was my first visit to this park and campground and I was a bit shocked by how crowded it was; however I had a great experience. The place is very family friendly and seems to be the area to settle in for a week with a camper or tent city. I was a solo car camper staying just for one night and…

Great park for beach

Stayed at site 12. Sites are great overlooking the bay. Bathroom lights are bright. 10 would be better. I also like the corner sites as they are bigger. The 230-70 overlook the ocean which is great. Little pricey compared to nys parks. Electric and water is nice for pop up.

Good local experience

As a long islander is was a Good local experience. The state park is very well run and the facilities are clean. However there are too many loud families and the sites are too close in proximity for me. This place is great for a group/family getaway but those looking for a quiet nature retreat may…
