Campgrounds near Gasport, New York primarily cluster along Lake Ontario shorelines and within state parks that extend throughout western New York. Four Mile Creek State Park Campground in Youngstown and Golden Hill State Park in Barker anchor the northern camping options, both situated along Lake Ontario with tent sites, RV hookups, and cabin accommodations. The region includes a mix of state park campgrounds and private facilities, many offering full-service sites with water, electric, and sewer connections. Several locations provide glamping options and yurts for campers seeking alternative accommodations beyond traditional tent and RV camping.

Seasonal operation defines the camping calendar in this region, with most campgrounds open from May through mid-October. Four Mile Creek operates from May 1 to October 27, while Golden Hill State Park's season runs from April 29 to October 15. "We watched the sun set on Lake Ontario. It was a beautiful place to stay!" noted one visitor about their experience at Four Mile Creek State Park. Advance reservations are strongly recommended throughout the peak summer season when lakefront sites fill quickly. Many campgrounds in the area maintain restrictions on generators and provide varying levels of water and electric hookups. Cell service remains reliable throughout most developed campgrounds, though signal strength may diminish in more remote locations.

Waterfront camping receives consistently positive reviews, with visitors highlighting spectacular sunset views across Lake Ontario. Sites along the lakefront tend to fill first and command premium pricing, particularly at Golden Hill and Four Mile Creek. According to one camper, "The sites were right next to the bathrooms/showers/laundry. The bathrooms were very clean." Proximity to Niagara Falls represents another significant draw for the area's campgrounds, with most sites offering 25-50 minute drives to the falls. Campers often use Gasport area campgrounds as convenient basecamps for day trips to Niagara Falls, the Niagara Wine Trail, and other regional attractions. Many developed campgrounds offer showers, restrooms, and camp stores for supplies, making them suitable for extended stays while exploring western New York's natural and cultural attractions.

      Big Guys Campground

      Amazing Campground

We called last minute for a spot on Labor Day Weekend. We were coming in for my mom's passing. They juggled spots to get us in. After getting set up, they checked on us several times to see how we were doing with my mom's passing. Amazing, caring owners and staff. Thank you Marie.

      Letchworth Valley Campground & Resort

      Great event space!

This campground was a wonderful find! Scouting locations for our Campout event in 2027. Kim the office manager was very accommodating and gave us a tour of the entire property which is vast! Whether you’re planning an event or just looking for a great place to simply camp, this is an excellent choice. Only 21 rv sites and several tent, cabins and 5 or 6 rustic sites with plans for pull-thru expansion for next year. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Peaceful and quiet

      Cinderella Motel & Campsite

      Very Central to the Falls

If you’re looking to explore Niagara Falls on both the Canadian and US sides, this campground is the perfect place to set up. It’s no-frills, just a spot to park your rig and tow vehicle, and set out for adventure. Their restrooms and showers are clean, laundry on site is coin-op only, but cheap. The staff is extremely nice, and they’ll accept packages for you.

      Daisy Barn Campground

      Beautiful campground

Absolutely stunning campground, our phone service does not really work here (Verizon) and the internet did not work last night either, but as long as you have star link I’m sure you will be fine. And internet is working fine this morning. Loved this little piece of heaven on the lake!

      Hamlin Beach State Park Campground

      Beautiful and beautifully maintained

Kudos to Blue/High Tax States. For $27 a night, wonderful, huge campsites, clean individual toilet/showers, clean gorgeous Great Lake beaches, even organized kid activities on weekends. The staff is constantly around taking care of things. Of course there are dog owners not picking up after their animals but we can't blame the park for perks.

      Letchworth State Park Campground

Well run and beautiful state park

Stayed here in our Class B. Had a nice site in loop 4. Only complaint really is other guests cranking some kind of contemporary R&B with very loud bass, like we should all like their music. 4 sites away, it was pretty loud. The hiking, the falls were great. Tons to do, spectacular views. The park is 17 miles long folks. Camping is north, the falls are south. You can hike all the way down. Its perhaps one of the most impressive displays of CCC work i have seen. Stone tables, picnic pavilions, walls, steps, just amazing work and maintained nicely. Check is easy, plenty of places for trash, fresh water. Showers were not bad, two per building per gender. Of course i picked one that backed up so i was in standing water. I reported it and 24 hours later it was the same. Oh well it was hot and felt great and i didn’t get hoof and mouth disease or anything. One thing - MAJOR league poison ivy , everywhere, surrounding every campsite. Beware.

      HTR Niagara Campground

      Super place!

We spent a long weekend at HTR Niagara to visit Niagara Falls and Canada. Wow, are we glad we did!

      WHAT I LIKED:

      — This campground is a short drive to Niagara Falls and the Canadian border

      — The park is beautiful with a great balance of natural and well-maintained

      — Our site was level and clean+ the hookups worked just fine

      — Each interaction with staff was friendly and welcoming(that’s no accident)

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE SO MUCH:

      — Just to nitpick, the wifi was too slow for streaming on TV, which we wanted to do on a rainy day

      WOULD WE COME BACK?

      — Absolutely, this is a great campground with lots to do in a clean and enjoyable setting

      Darien Lakes State Park Campground

      Friendly helpful staff, quiet spot

Large well maintained campground with many different types of sites. The staff is amazing and will help you find something - in person or by phone. Our site was tucked into the woods and felt very private. Lake for swimming, fishing, paddle boarding and kayaking. The bathrooms were dated but clean, with warm showers.
