AA Royal Motel & Campground

AA Royal Motel & Campground operates year-round on paved sites that accommodate RVs up to 80 feet, making it one of the few winter-accessible options in the Niagara Falls area. The facility combines both pull-through and back-in sites with full hookups, though campers should expect a more utilitarian setup rather than a recreational camping experience.

Sites toward the front of the property offer better cell service and more level parking, while those toward the back provide additional shade from mature trees. The campground assigns sites upon arrival rather than allowing advance selection. WiFi reaches throughout the property and proves adequate for remote work and streaming, according to recent visitors. Facilities include restrooms, showers, and laundry services at $2.50 per wash and $1.75 per dry cycle.

The location serves as a practical base for exploring Niagara Falls and crossing into Canada via the nearby Rainbow Bridge. "Basically, don't expect a beautiful vacation campground," notes Kara W., emphasizing its function as convenient overnight accommodation rather than a destination itself. An Italian market operates directly across the street for supplies.

Campers seeking more recreational amenities might consider Niagara Falls Campground & Lodging as an alternative.

Many campers appreciated the friendly owner, level paved sites, and prime location near Niagara Falls. Several reviews noted aging facilities need maintenance, though basic amenities work well for short stays.

Good location

This campground is open year around which is really hard to find in this area. We needed to come here for personal reasons before any other campground was opened. So far this isn’t bad could be better/ cleaner.

It is 50 amp full hook up with free Wi-Fi that doesn’t suck.

The site are paved level back ins and pull throughs

The staff was nice enough. Haven’t had much interaction with him.

There is a great Italian store right across the street and Niagara Falls down the road. I would stay here in a pinch again

Great overnight near Niagara Falls

Needed a spot to park for the night. Warm bathrooms and hot showers were a plus. All spaces are a little cramped, but it was just for a few hours

An old campsite that fits our needs

This is not a resort campground nor is it a campground built for escapism. It’s very close to Niagara Falls, the Rainbow Bridge (for driving into Canada), and Buffalo, NY.

Mike is very friendly; check in was easy. The sites are full hook up or w/e only. There are pull throughs and back-ins, 30amp and 50amp sites. Your site is assigned once you arrive. You pay a deposit when you book and pay the rest when you arrive.

They have Good Sam and weekly discounts and I was also given a cash/check discount. So our total was $51 a night for a week’s stay.

The sites toward the front are definitely more level and have better cell service, but the sites toward the back are better shaded. Cell service and wifi was enough for me to work during the week and stream at night.

The facilities could use some work. They are very old, and it’s hard to tell if they are clean or just old. Laundry is available - $2.50 a wash/$1.75 a dry.

Basically, don’t expect a beautiful vacation campground. I work full time remotely from the camper. I was able to work during the days and get to Niagara Falls, CAN, and Buffalo quickly after work. Even with the discount, which I’m thankful for, it is overpriced for what it is. But it served my needs, I felt safe, and the owner was friendly so 3 stars. With some TLC to the sites and the facilities, I’d give it 4.
