vacation

Last year I vacationed at this campsite with my husband. We really liked it there, the nature is very beautiful. We got there by renting a car on Rental24h.com and took a tent with us and had a great time

Wonderful Owners

Truck camped here. Early season conditions were wet and the owners let me pick my site because the one I had reserved was muddy. They even rushed to get a bathroom running for the second night I was there. 3 bars Verizon

Checked in late, received a warm welcome

I was stuck at the US/Canada border for almost two hours coming from Michigan. Then caught in severe thunderstorms wich cause me to get to the camp site at 9:30.

I called at 6 saying that I'd be late but the days just kept piling up. When I arrived the lady was still friendly and asked about my drive and knowing how bad the weather was glad that I arrived save.

The campground, from arriving in the dark looks good and kept well. Facilities are clean and up to expectations. Will know better tomorrow, but so far, pretty good.

Great camping sites, Hammock Camping Available, Incredible Amenities

Things I enjoyed about Cherry Hill Campground:

The owners are awesome, approachable, and helpful.

Many sites are separated by hedges, are drive-in sites yet still close to water, restrooms, and shower even a microwave.

There are nature yoga classes and they bring bands in to perform. It is right across from Darian Lake Six Flags theme park. And dogs are welcome without a pet fee.

The only thing I didn't enjoy was a neighbor across the hedge who felt a need to play his music loud and continual, (we were so lucky the music was agreeable to our tastes). Music is supposed to stop at midnight. Call the office and the neighbors turn off the music until starting up again at 2:30 am.

The price we pay for hyper convenience in camping and of course, it is a dice roll and probably not a problem during the week.

Beautiful

One of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed. Immersed in nature despite being across from 6 flags. Hot showers, clean bathrooms, lovely dishwashing station, and a book where people can write what makes them happy for others to read. This place just exudes kindness and good vibes. No hookups but that adds to the charm. We were fine using solar in our van. Owner was super nice and accommodating of our last minute reservation as we were passing through. Wish I could stay for the yoga retreat later this month. Sounds fabulous !

Come Together with Nature at Cherry Hills

Cherry Hills campground lives up to it's claim to bring you as close to nature as possible. The grounds are well manicured without looking unnatural, the sites are very spacious, and with a number of wildlife feeders throughout, it was a great place to do a little bird watching/photography. As things re-open following the pandemic, I found comfort in the observation that the restrooms were single toilet rather than a large restroom of stalls(even though restrictions denote that I could not use them yet), that the online reservation process was easily navigable, and rates were fairly priced. As an added bonus, the owners waited for me to get in even though it was a little late in the evening, to update me on all the precautions Cherry Hills has taken, not only on their own behalf, but as directed by the state of NY. I highly recommend Cherry Hills and will be back again. Safe Travels!

Very friendly and convenient

We have stayed at Cherry Hill a couple times, mostly for Darien Lake concerts. It's VERY convenient to get to the convert as the campground offers shuttles before the events. However, getting back across the road to the campground can be challenging. Due to some dummy a few years ago getting hit by a car, and also Darien Lake's greed, walking back to the campground is disallowed. Sherrifs will stop you if you try. There is a taxi/rideshare lot right next to the road, so you could hail one of those to get back to the campground. The cost of camping and the ride is less than camping at Darien Lake.

The amenities at Cherry Hill are great, and the staff are very friendly.
