Best Campgrounds near Sloan, NV

Really fun spot, but don’t get there later at night or it could be hard to get a spot. Super pretty to wake up and see in the morning though

We booked this last minute and had a great time at the park. The pool was closed, but they gave us access to the Sam's Town hotel pool, which we did not make time to use. We had a site near the road, and the noise did not bother us, as our overhead AC fan was running for white noise. The staff was friendly, and the store had a small amount of RV, food essentials, and Las Vegas gifts and accessories. The facilities were clean, and their upgrades to the central grounds look promising. They welcomed our kiddos when booking, unlike another local RV venue. We plan to return to this site in the future.

I’ve stayed here for a week and it’s been pretty quiet. There is a training facility near by and I heard shots one day but it only lasted a little while. There are several places to park a van and I can see a few motor homes parked here and there. I have good cell service with AT&T and the land fill is on the way into town so getting rid of trash is easy. I’ll stay here again when I’m passing through.

This is a quiet, remote spot accessible by car if you drive slowly and the road isn’t washed out. Unfortunately it’s pretty trashy, which is a shame. The water is beautiful, with a gentle lapping in the breeze.

Gorgeous views of the lake. Not for someone looking for solitude as there will most certainly be other campers. While you can find some spots that are flatter, most are slanted. Bathroom is clean, 10/10. If you’re lucky, you might get a visit from some very adorable local donkeys.

Firstly if you do not have 4 wheel drive you can get in but seriously use caution! For bigger rigs - we a 30ft Skoolie, a 25ft RV and a Jeep towing a 17ft cargo conversion trailer in with only minor white knuckling. There’s little chance the bus could have pulled my trailer in so had to pull it separately with my jeep. The last 2.5 miles is pitchy with some really tight turns as well as steep hills and washboard, rocky texture. The road is mostly rock and gravel with packed sand underneath. Don’t even try it in the rain without 4x4. Drop offs on one or both sides at times. Just take it SLOW and you’ll be good. The spots are plentiful but not level and they’re really rocky. If you’re looking for a manicured campground style spot this is not for you - but if you like rugged gems off the beaten path then you’ll love it! The water is so clean, great fishing and water sports. There’s not a boat ramp here but you can launch boards, kayaks and small dingy boats from the beach. There’s are wild donkeys and lots of birds and bats. There’s views are spectacular! Jeepers can climb through several trails and they all offer amazing views. There’s also a vault toilet up the hill from the water. You’ll see it on your right on the way to the water. There are no trash cans or wood to gather so pack in pack out your trash and bring firewood!

This is a pleasant well-maintained campground with a helpful friendly ranger. I did not give it five stars only because The sites are cramped a little bit too close together and the vegetation needs to grow up around the campsites a little bit more. It was not full on a weekend when all nearby campgrounds were packed. Most of the sites have a nice view of Lake Mead

Amazing views plenty of room spread out. Some good hikes.. just started climbing on either side. Lots of fire circles. But the views were spectacular and stole the show. Best off grid dispersed camping experience we have ever had.

Reservations are required but there is running water and a great covered picnic area. Closest bathrooms to the beehives attraction so we would occasionally get people using our bathrooms despite the signs posted indicating trespassing if you weren't part of a group reservation. Overall a great time and tons of rocks for the kids to climb.

Nice campsite for tents or RVs. Flushing toilets and running water in the bathroom was nice. Beautiful sunset views, and the hills block all signs of civilization. You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere even though you are 20 minutes from Vegas. We stayed in late March which was a great time to stay. Low 70s during the day and maybe 59 at the coldest part of the nice.

No campgrounds available at valley of fire. We stayed here. Flat enough. Quite but we’re other campers nearby.

Came back out to Willow Beach again. As always we had a great time. The staff at the Store / Marina are always friendly and helpful. The campsite and campground facilities are very clean. Great Camp Host as well. We will be back next month.

Loved finding this place a year ago but the road down was pretty gnarley but they have since fixed it and any 2wd can make it.

This is a beautiful campground, the facilities are impeccably clean. Camp sites are spacious, level and really well maintained. No cell service but they do have medium quality WiFi. We would absolutely stay here again.

Right before Valley of Fire entrance, it’s a very nice spot in the middle of the desert, but very accessible for RVs

Long bumpy road to get to (20 min of driving ruts).

No ATT service (with booster) otherwise would have stayed.
