Beautiful!

Stayed 2 nights. Just a few miles to Hoover Dam and 20 or so from Vegas. Grounds were well kept, nice staff. Sites are a but close but VERY long. Must pay a National Park fee to even get to the RV park but we did it. Would stay again. Did not use facilities or wifi.

Fantastic oasis away from the city

Very well maintained. I don't think there is a bad spot to view the lake. Laundry facilities are clean and efficient.

Quite and good wifi. Prices are reasonable too.

I highly recommend!

Pleasant evening on the lake

We stopped here on the way to Utah and scored a “lakefront” spot. These are closest to the lake, but when we visited, lake mead was very low, so the shoreline was about 1/4 mile away. Sites had decent spacing. There are mobile homes across the street from the lakeside sites which was…different. It did get a bit windy at night.

RV Park and campgrounds

First, there are two areas. The RV park and the campground. The RV park has all your amenities and full hookups. Store, propane and great views of Lake Mead. If you are able to reserve a rv pad nearest the lake, you will be in for a treat. All spots have full hookup and picnic table. You have full unobstructed view of the lake from these pads.

The campground is separate from the RV park, but located directly next to it...really adjoining. Separate fees go to the National Park for camping. Currently, showers are not running. Has many pull thrus for rigs, as well as tent camping. Plenty of shade and spaces are not to close.

Lake Views are Definitely premium

Called the morning of arrival to see if we could come in early as we were only about 1.5 hours away due to poor planning i.e. hard to get last minute reservations near the Grand Canyon South Rim. They let us come in before noon with no charge! We went right into the National Park area that showed up as a toll road on our RV GPS. It was no charge as we have the Access Pass. Campground (CG) check in was quick and easy. Since we were early they said we could wait for the escort who came on duty about 15 minutes later or proceed to our spot. We headed on to Lake View site 24 that was an easy back-in with FHUs. The utilities were spaced a bit far from the site and towards the back so I needed about 22’ of sewer hose and 25’ of electric and water hose. All of the lake view sites are made so you can either back in or pull in with utilities available on both sides. We had a beautiful site with great view of Lake Mead and mountain views. The very nice & helpful escort lady, Cindy, came by to ensure we were situated and gave us the unique rules like vehicles must be parked at the same angle as your RV (not crossway across the site) so the mobile home residents across the street can see the lake. The fire pit was at the utility side back corner of the site. They give you one WiFi log-in for free but you can call a number to buy a week's worth of data and ask to have it available for three devices for $14 a week. We hooked our Weingard Connect 2.0 into the WiFi and that ran our devices just fine. WiFi was fairly good for this size CG. They have cable with a lot of stations but some are admittedly a little fuzzy down on the Lake View row, but watchable. We checked OTA channels and only got four and they were also fuzzy. Great place to overnight or spend a few days like we did exploring Hoover Dam and Boulder City. Even with a few hiccups, the service and views make this a highly rated CG for us.

Great views and close to the strip and hover dam

We had an amazing lake view site with full hookups for our rv. It was only 7 minutes to the hover dam and 5 minutes into Boulder City. The only down side was it wasn’t made with kids in mind. It’s more of a retirement area. Make sure to have plans or stuff for the kids to do, but other than that, it was awesome.

Beautiful Lakeside Views

This is a great RV park nestled inside the National Park. The views are amazing and the staff are really friendly and helpful. One note is that you will have to also pay the park fee before entering the RV park. It isn’t much ($25 for a 7 day pass) but it was just something I wasn’t aware of before we arrived.

Awesome view

Booked a site with the view of Lake Mead. Got lucky as we didn’t have immediate neighbors during our stay (closest one was 4 sites down) perhaps the 120° weather is a deterrent for some folks. WiFi connected but it was pretty much useless. Staff was very friendly. Access to the lake and marina was easy. We were en route to Utah and it was an awesome stop.

Lake Mead Camping

We stayed at Boulder Beach location on Lake Mead in the summer of 2012 for a brief visit. This RV park had full hookups which is always a plus when you are traveling. We utilized the laundry facility here and caught up on some computer work since they had wi-fi. It was very hot so we took the RV to the shores of Lake Mead and parked for a rock skipping contest and to cool off. The water was very warm which wasn't at all what I expected. Our visit also included Hoover Dam which was highly secured and 115 degrees that day.Our tickets included a tour inside the power plant. The elevator ride down was 70 seconds but we descended 530 feet into the Black Canyon walls. It was surprisingly cooler down below and we were happy to get out of the sun. I was amazed at the detailed design of the dam and what the workers endured to complete this structure.
