Cross Creek RV Park features pull-through sites with electric, water and sewer connections, operating from April through November. Most parks in the region provide dump stations, with several offering on-site sewer hookups at premium sites. Cell service varies significantly throughout the area—Verizon typically maintains 3-4 bars at most locations, while T-Mobile coverage can be spotty in more remote parks. Pet-friendly policies are standard across most facilities, though some implement breed or size restrictions. Propane is available at select parks including Osage Beach RV Park. Gravel pads predominate throughout the region, with one reviewer noting that at Laurie RV Park, "all large pull through sites" are available, though they recommended avoiding "site 16" due to positioning issues.

Lake of the Ozarks State Park Campground

Pretty camping area, lake was filthy and smelly

This was a pretty campsite with lots of trees and simple deer trails throughout. Sites are well spread out. The lake itself was filthy and smelly. Lots of trash and rotting fish on the shorelines. The campground website said they had WiFi throughout the campsite, however it was only available at the front office. No cell service. We had planned to stay for a week to school and work remotely, but had to cut our time here short because of no connectivity. If we hadn’t had the need for WiFi, this would have been a fine campground to stay at, as it is centrally located to many sightseeing locations.

Sties were level, kid and pet friendly, quiet campground, 30/50 amp electricity, no water hookups, firewood avail for fire pits, also had nice picnic tables. Inexpensive.

    Good for a short stay.

Making reservations: We made reservations a few weeks in advance (glad we did). We received an email with the site and instructions, which included calling to make final payment. This one, like many private parks, has limited office hours. So, catching them while they were in the office took a few tries.

The park: That all said, the experience in the park was fine. Beautiful tree canopy covers the whole park, tiny playground for the kids at the back of the park, etc. There was plenty of space between sites for our tow vehicle and 37’ 5th wheel with 3 slide outs. Utilities were close (50/30/20, water, sewer). Pull through sites if nobody is slotted in front/behind (you pull through one site to get to the other). No branches in our way (we are 12’7” tall). This park is a combo of mobile homes, transient RVs and long term RVs.

Surrounding area: There is a gas station right up the road although it was too busy / small for us so we went back toward the main Highway where there are two big ones to choose from with plenty of space to turn. Seems to be the gateway to the Ozarks for gassing up, so plenty of space and stuff.

    Cottonwoods RV Park & Campground

    Very Nice Campground

Check-in was quick and easy and we proceeded to pull through site 83 with FHUs. The gravel pad was very long and we had plenty of room for our 40’ rig and F450. The utilities were in the middle of the pad and water pressure was decent at about 40 psi. As we were on the end of a row, we had a lot of front yard space. The sites here are very close together, but long-term guests kept their sites nice and well organized, and overall this CG was very clean. There are mature trees so satellite placement could be challenging. We were able to place our Starlink in the yard area for a good shot to the north sky. We got 4 bars on Verizon and their WiFi worked well for a campground of this size. At the office, they have a nice store and gift shop with one of the best selections of camping shirts etc. that we have seen.

    Osage Campground Retreat

    Full hookups but sketchy

Clean grounds, close to a conservation boat ramp and again full hookups. That’s about where it ends.

Most sites appear to be year-round Occupied. Fifth wheels with buried to sewer lines And people riding their lawn mowers outside their campers.

All things being equal it seems like more of a trailer park with a few camping vacancies.

Doolittle Acres RV Park and Campground

    Nice area

Good area only a mile off the highway so it made a great night stopping point. Had great access for our starlink. They have a little dog park, kids park, and it was all clean and well maintained. Easy access and some nice pull through spots. Water, sewer, and electric hook ups. Fire pit and picnic table at site. Since it’s close the highway it was a little loud with traffic. 57$ a night for premium spots, 42$ a night for non premium

    Turkey Creek RV Park

    Nice Campground! Nice and Quiet!

Turkey Creek was a very nice campground for our month long stay.  The park is well maintained and clean.  It is very quiet!  There is a train track nearby, but we only heard it a few times during our stay.

Amenities included full hook up, laundry room, bathrooms, showers and a fenced dog park where you 4 legged friends can enjoy some off-leash time.  We had 4 bars with AT&T and waffled between 1-3 bars with Verizon.

The location is great for visiting local attractions such as Branson Landing, Silver Dollar City and Top of the Rock.

Really appreciate the park manager, she was friendly and brought an overpayment to our attention and quickly issued a refund.

    Great experience overall!

Guide to Eldon

Eldon, Missouri camping areas sit within the northern Ozark highlands at around 900 feet elevation, characterized by rolling forested hills surrounding the nearby Lake of the Ozarks. Summer temperatures typically range from 65-90°F with higher humidity levels, while spring and fall offer milder conditions. Winter camping is available at select year-round facilities like Majestic Oaks RV Park & Campground, though temperatures can drop below freezing December through February.

What to do

Fishing opportunities: Lake access and stocked ponds provide excellent fishing near Eldon's rv parks. Cross Creek RV Park features an 8-acre stocked lake with boat rentals. "Our site was maybe 30 yards from the water," notes camper Martin J., who enjoyed easy water access. Another camper at Cross Creek mentioned, "You can fish right off the bank of your own private island within minutes of waking up."

Family activities: Many RV parks near Eldon include recreational facilities beyond basic camping. Riveria Villas & RV Resort offers lake views and a premium pool area. "The pool area sits on top of a bluff overlooking the lake. It's absolutely beautiful. The pool area also has a very nice cabana, firepit, and bathrooms," reports TJ G. Similarly, Cross Creek RV Park provides "mini golf, shuffleboard, volleyball, playground, hiking and a general store."

Hiking trails: Several campgrounds offer on-site walking paths through the Ozark woodlands. Majestic Oaks RV Park maintains property trails accessible from your campsite. According to Russ G., the park has "hiking trails on site, spots are well maintained" and is "very close to everything the Lake has to offer."

What campers like

Clean facilities: Many reviewers consistently praise the well-maintained facilities at rv parks in Eldon, Missouri. At Osage Beach RV Park, David E. noted, "The restrooms and showers were very clean and well kept." Another camper, Jim B., added that it's a "very clean RV park" with "moderate Verizon cell service" and "average WiFi service throughout the park."

Helpful staff: Exceptional service stands out in multiple reviews of the area's campgrounds. At Majestic Oaks RV Park & Campground, Sadie H. reported, "We pulled in and right away we were greeted with huge smiles and lead to a requested propane fill and our site! While we were getting set up they brought the ice and wood we requested, again with a smile!" Similarly, at Osage Beach RV Park, a reviewer mentioned, "The office staff was so pleasant as well as the guys that delivered firewood and ice and helped guide us into our spot."

Location convenience: Many campgrounds provide strategic access to area attractions. TJ G. noted that Lake Ozarks RV Resort is "close to many attractions near the Lake of the Ozarks." Regarding Osage Beach RV Park, Ryan P. described it as offering "nice, full hookup gravel sites close to everything on the east side of Lake of the Ozarks."

What you should know

Seasonal availability: Many rv parks around Eldon operate seasonally with limited winter options. Cross Creek RV Park runs from April 15 to November 1, while Osage Beach RV Park operates from March 27 to November 1. For year-round camping, Majestic Oaks RV Park & Campground remains open all seasons with full hookups.

Site spacing considerations: Several reviews mention site proximity varies significantly between campgrounds. At Cottonwoods RV Park & Campground, David E. observed, "The only negative thing I would say is the spaces were very close to each other. Our slide nearly went over the patio of the next site over." Similarly at Riveria Villas & RV Resort, TJ G. mentioned the site spacing while noting the "camp is clean, and very quiet."

Reservation requirements: During peak summer months, advance booking is essential. Riveria Villas has a "3 night minimum stay" requirement and can only be booked directly. This makes it suitable for those needing to work remotely as they noted it was "quiet, with not a lot to do at the campground itself... but is centrally located to a lot of sight-seeing adventures."
