          Bennett Spring State Park Campground

Beautiful area with lots of camping spotsis

This is a beautiful area with a lot of camping spots. Campground 1 is down by the water and really meant for the big rigs. Most of the other campgrounds (5 total) also have plenty of space to spread out. We saw plenty of 5th wheels up in the other campgrounds. Many had electric, though don't think many have water. Which is fine for a long weeked or something - just fill up the freshwater before heading out.

Of course if you like fishing this is a wonderful place. Not my thing, but I enjoyed people watching.

          Spacious sites and friendly staff

Spacious and mostly level sites, which is outstanding as this park is on face of a hill. We stayed in march so leaves are off the trees and could hear road noise. Very nice stay.

          Nice KOA, smaller spots

All the typical amenities of a KOA, but very small and the spots are pretty tight. Felt like we were sharing our campfire with the neighbors. Close to Bennett Springs!

          Bennett Springs State Park Cabins

Had a great time in a spacious cabin with full kitchen and bath. Comfortably held 5 of us in one cabin. A little busier than I like, but fun to watch all the fly fisherfolk. Niangua River was gorgeous and so fun to swim in (clear all the way to the bottom). Caught tadpoles with our hands and watched tiny fish. Lots of chiggers was the only downfall. Hiking trails were great with natural bridges and caves. Super fun time!

          Great Place

Just got back after 2 days there.  Sites are spaced a good distance apart, nice clean lots with fire ring, picnic table and 30 amp.  The flush restrooms are cleaned everyday and very nice.  I picked site 69 which overlooks the lake and was less than 30 yards from water edge.  Site very from 100% sun to 100% shade so you have a lot to choose from.  Highly recommend it to anyone will will be back soon.

          Southern Discomfort

Lynn Creek KOA is a mediocre resort. The pool and the bathroom facilities are pros, and the sites have trees for added shade.

But the cons outweigh those pros, as the sites are all gravel with very little grass, deferred maintenance is an issue for electric & water outlets, the noise from the freeway running in front of the resort is unbearable at all hours, and the flies are biting nonstop.

Way off the beaten path but we had a good time. The campground was clean and everyone was nice. It did get a little rowdy on the weekend but folks respected the quiet hours.

          Bathrooms decent with showers.

T-Mobile and Verizon in places. Hard to get in a camper Several sites that can take advantage of Starlink.

          Great Family Park!

We visited Bennet Spring State Park on 4/2/22 for one night to camp with some friends.

We stayed at site 440 with our Sierra 2500 & Keystone Springdale 2820BH.

The site was easy to back into, and had plenty of room for our truck & rig. This site is electric only, no water or sewer.

The hatchery was really neat to see, and the spring was stunning! We enjoyed watching the fisherman & seeing all the beautiful trout. We can’t wait to visit again!

**The water is not turned on in Loop 1 until April 15th.

MO River & Katy trail fun

See beautiful scenery on the MO River & Katy Trail. You may get to see a paddleboat cruising the river. Cooper’s has spectacular sunsets, a boat ramp, dock, trails, bonfires, live music, and a very friendly atmosphere.

The Katy trail runs through the edge of the property, offering quick access to trail walking, hiking, and bicycling.

The general store has many options including a wide variety of food and drinks. It also has a small bicycle repair area set up outside.

I highly recommend the delicious Thai food restaurant on site.

          Prices are very reasonable.

limited to active or retired military or vets with service related disability

Beautiful campground, though Full hookup sites are on an unappealing parking lot. Sites with electric and water only are in nice oak woods overlooking Lake of the Ozarks. (Our site # J has a concrete stairway with 150 steps down to the water.) Tent sites are right on the water, with spectacular views. You can launch your own kayak or rent a motor boat to explore this gigantic lake. Free laundry facilities. Lean restrooms with nice shower. Very relaxed reservation procedure. We called and were told to just show up. They would hold a spot for us. It worked out fine.

          Loved it here

Leaving this magical place today. For anyone wanting to stay be aware they have live music Thursday through Sunday. They wrap everything up by 10pm and it’s very quiet late night. This weekend they had special events everyday related to the Katy trail right next to it. You will have water and electric but no sewer and no dump station on site. Plan your length of stay accordingly. In addition to the live music, food trucks come in and there is a cash bar/store with drinks, snacks, firewood and ice. It’s a very small campground and you are not walled off from the general public. If this is your style of camping you will really enjoy this place. Built in the 70’s on the banks of the Missouri River I had an amazing time. It was like being on vacation from my full time vacation lifestyle. I didn’t grocery shop the whole time.

          A nice place

Everyone was nice that worked there. Didn't have any problems with the people around us but we were in the family area. Now camping is free if you float with them and it does get crowded on the weekends. We did drive down to the water where the party camping is and was super packed. The Grub Bucket was really good but is only at the party area.
