Great place!!

We stayed for a 3 night stay recently with our 1 and 5 year old and we had such a nice weekend. This campground is very clean all the site are spacious. They have quite a few full timers, everyone seems to really love this place. We went for nightly walks it was also pleasantly quiet at night.…

Very good campground

Went with some friends and the campground was very nice with available bathrooms but the sites were a little close so if that is a problem this might not be for u. Overall this was a great campsite right by sleeping bear and perfect for families too. :)

Great campsite for all

I went camping here with some friends over a weekend and it was absolutely great! The sites were pretty spread and it had an amazing trail to Lake Michigan! Overall super good and would recommend coming here :)

Very nice camping

We enjoyed our time here, sites are bigger with lots of trees/shade. Nice views, bathrooms will be a bit rustic for some. But we loved the area and space the campground provides. The worms dropping from the trees were crazy.

Location is perfect!

Campsite is located 2 miles from downtown Pentwater, adorable small town on the water. Mears state park is 2 miles from the campground as well, Lake Michigan beaches. The playground on the beach is perfect for younger kids. There is a pavilion that serves hot food and ice cream ( hot food ends at…

Great campground, but not best location

Review for Loop 1, Site 102. We tent camped in the electric area due to cooler temps and wanting to have a space heater. It worked out lovely. Our neighbors were quiet and friendly. We were directly across from a water source and the recycling(!!!) and trash bins. They're designed for bears and…

Lots of space, quiet, trails and lake access

First come first serve in the fall- we were basically the only ones there. Big spacious sites, lake access and good hikes from the campground. Gorgeous and quiet. Would go back!

First time, will be back!

We had a chilly Memorial Day weekend but were very impressed with the campground. Great mix of activities for the kids. Big park but felt small, no problems with traffic and golf carts like we have experienced at other “resort” style campgrounds. All sites are full hookup and there are just enough…

Used to be one of our favorites

This campground used to be one of our favorites but it seems things have changed a little since the last time we’ve been here. It’s still a nice campground but there were a few things we weren’t happy with. Let’s start with the pros though. The bathrooms are very clean, they have a heated pool,…

Fine 2-night stay, but not terribly private

Fine for us in our 17' travel trailer for our brief stay with water and electric hook-ups, but more privacy would have been nice. Very few trees. Clean bathroom/showers. Friendly staff.

Great small spot!

Cool small campground next to the pine river. About 20 spots to pull in and camp. Also areas along the hiking trail to camp. Lots of wildlife and good views along the trials. $15 a night. First come first serve.

Careful of the locals. They have tricks to snagging spots and not being there for…

Nice Spot...Easy Access

Sites are nice and easy to access... no issues with the road coming in... the dispersed camping is free but if you drive and park in the lots for the dunes/beach access it requires a pass or 5$ a day fee
