Best RV Parks & Resorts near Tully Lake, MA

Savoy mountain campground is a very nice state park camp, but don’t rely on gps to get you there it will put you on the wrong end of the park in the middle of a rural neighborhood. The park is so hard to find that not even a cell signal can get there, if your looking to unplug this is a great spot!Use the directions provided on the website, they are far more reliable. Very clean park, convenient clean restroom/shower building and helpful staff. There are RV sites and there is a dump station/potable water fill station available at the park entrance, but no RV hook ups of any kind. Sites are spacious and many shaded sites have decent privacy though open field sites are also available, bear boxes are provided at each site as this is black Bear country. Ample hiking to be done in the park and you can access the Mohawk trail right from the campground, the Appalachian trail and Mt Greylock is a short drive away.

Pillsbury resides in a very pretty spot nestled around a lake. There are campsites that are car accesable and remote campsites only accessable by boat. Canoe rentals are available at the park. The nearest town is close enough that the first one up goes and buys Dunkin Donuts for the rest each morning.

Pillsbury Campground is described as primitive which means no hot showers, RV hookups and stuff like that. It is a perfect place to get away from all the stuff I don't really need and get a little closer to the stuff I do.

I have stayed at Pillsbury on several ocasions going back year after year.

This campground is located near two beautiful disc golf courses and the reason we stayed. The campground itself was fantastic, the owner at the front building was very helpful and so sweet. Most of the residents were long term sites but very friendly. Got to talking with an employee who'd worked for 5 years there and the rules and regulations in place here keep the campground clean, friendly, and safe. They provide water, electric, showers, and septic pump trucks that come to you. The shower house was a bit old and dirty, but honestly that's the only thing I could complain about.

The campground has a gravel area at the sites where the fire ring and picnic tables are. Where we parked our trailer was some gravel sand and dirt. We were at the end of a lane, backing in was fine we are small, 21 feet including tongue, we fit fine. Great site across from a beach, on French Pond I’m guessing is at least 25 acres. Most of the sights are long term. Camp was pretty much full, even then it was quiet. Restroom closed to covid, some campgrounds kept them open and just cleaned more. Well no complaint here we’re self contained. Some areas could use some tidying up. Still I would gladly stay here again.

The lady that checked us in was easy to talk to, explained the campgrounds then we were escorted to our site. The site was small but a pull thru, no problems at all, full hook up. There is a nice pool just getting ready to open we are here mid, May 14th we leave. There is horse shoes, shuffle board, basketball, play ground, swimming pond, fishing stream and fishing pond. Would recommend to my family and friends gladly. Beautiful area was once a large farm. Nicely kept grounds, dry stacked stone walls can be seen though out the campground. Yes, we would stay here again.

We had an awesome stay at Seven Maples with our family of six and dog.

We have a 25 foot trailer and stayed in the Grove area. Our site 19 was spacious and wooded. There was a lot of poison ivy on both sides of us but the kids kept away so we weren’t worried about it. We loved being next to the large field and basketball court where we watched the kids play without having to worry where they disappeared to. The Grove and Hemlock Heights are particularly nice areas with more spacious, wooded and quiet sites. The Safari Field and more central full hook-up sites were pretty crammed. We definitely would have wanted to know our neighbors in those areas!

The campground, pool, playground and bathrooms were very clean. The pool is amazing for kids of all ages with water slides and a splash area. There’s no life guard or staff monitoring the pool area so it did get a little too crazy at times for my little ones. The playground is really big with plenty to do. There’s also a fishing pond and short hiking/biking trails.

There weren’t any extra activities for the kids as some other family-friendly campgrounds have but they did have a reasonably priced Father’s Day breakfast that was outstanding!

This is definitely a place we will return to!

Grounds well kept. Shaded sites. Quiet areas in lower roads with mostly seasonal. Reasonable cost. 30 amp only. Many full hookups. Pet friendly.

Mostly seasonal with a back row for short term campers. Used by a lot of offroad bikes on weekends. Great swimming pool! Spent a week plus there and had no problems with the dirt bikes and loved the pool. All sites are full hookups with several primitive tent sites.

Staff assisted to guide us into our space. 25' travel trailer, full hookups. Lot 6, backs onto a little creek. Some old campers onsite that look to have overstayed due to condition. Nice to be at a non corporate campground, a few bruises, but overall great experience. Dog friendly, relaxed environment.

Stayed for a weekend (1 night). Easy access to a bathroom (which was very clean). Quiet neighbors, everyone around us observed the quiet hours (10p-7a) and even during the day no one was super loud. Very respectful drivers made biking feel fun and safe for kids. Campers beach was lovely. Sure the water was a little weedy, but we didn’t mind. The lake is a great spot for kayaking (although it is a little bit of a walk from the parking lot with a heavy boat) and the sunset on the lake definitely didn’t disappoint. Nice partially shaded and level site with good access for backing in our small trailer. Playground, camp store, convenient check-in at office, firewood available for $6, lots of trails and fairly level for easy biking. State park camping (no hookups) but there’s a dump station near the exit and water spigots dispersed around the campsites. Absolutely would go again.

After scouting this campground in December, I was able to score a last minute reservation of a waterfront site in July. As a caveat, waterfront in this instance was more of a water view as the lake was on the other side of the campground road and a large open area with trees. Campsites are$17/night (no hookups, dump station available) with a significant surcharge for out-of-state campers leading to a$54/night charge, which is no bargain when you consider nearby private campgrounds are closer to$40 with full hookups.

There are two loops to the campground. The North loop(sites 101-150) offers more waterfront sites where one can easily launch a canoe or kayak directly from the site; note, however, that the sites in the teens are on a rise above the water, although I did see some campers had pulled their boats up along the shore even below those sites. The North loop also has a small beach; for the East loop, you’ll either need to walk to the day use are, which features a larger beach, or drive around to it. There is no swimming apart from the two beach areas. There are numerous spots along the lakefront where you can fish, catching panfish close to shore. Bass, trout(stocked in spring), chain pickerel are larger species.

Bathrooms in the north loop are old and in desperate need of renovation, enough that I would think twice about a site here if I were not self-contained. East loop bathrooms have better flooring and facilities. I preferred the largest bath house, near the waterfront. Flush toilets. Water available from faucet. Showers are available and free, but only 1/bath house. Only a couple of the bathhouses have dishwashing sinks.

I was in site 59, with a nice view of the lake. I endured a major downpour and 12-hr rain storm(I’m not sure how much rain we got, but nearby relatives had 4” rain in the same time, so that puts it in perspective) and the next morning site 58 was underwater with a brook running through it. I didn’t explore the north loop after the storm, but this site in the east loop bore the brunt of the storm.

Cell phone coverage was nearly nonexistent. We could get maybe 1 bar on Verizon, sometimes 3G, sometimes not even that. Texts took their time going through. Leaving the campground, I had better luck getting 4G if I headed to Winchendon rather than to south to Baldwinville. Download maps for offline use if you expect to explore the area (such as Tully Lake, Doanes Falls).

There are ice cream and burger/hot dog restaurants a few miles in either direction(Lickity Splitz, Lee’s Hot Dog). Winchendon had a Family Dollar. Both towns have Dunkin’ and gas stations.

I’ve been RV camping for 5 years and this is the worst campground I’ve ever seen. We reserved it months ago and should have suspected something when they demanded payment in full up front. After a 1-hour drive, the first impression was terrible. We saw poor landscaping, the “kiddie” pool empty and in disrepair, and a golf course that looked like a cow pasture with a couple small circles mowed in it as greens. Despite our uncertainties, we checked in and we’re given site Tulip 8. We tried to follow the map that bore no resemblance to reality and could not find our site. Along the way we experienced terrible roads and saw that the park was full of 20-year old seasonal trailers covered in mold and a hodge-pudge of add-on structures. We called the office and they sent a guy to guide us to the site. He could not find it either so he led us to Tulip 3. It had a broken picnic table and a fire pit near a wood cutout of Susquatch in a nearby seasonal site. There were barking dogs penned up in front of the camper across the road. We told the guy we were leaving. We went to the office and were told there were no refunds for early departures. When we asked for a way to contact a supervisor to ask for a refund, we were given an email address that ended up being fake. Nobody who cares about their family should even consider this campground.

The HanscomField Fam Camp is a wooded recreational camp for military families and retirees, as well as for RV camping for active duty military on temporary orders. The campground offers RV sites, some with hookups, as well as more walk-in secluded tent sites as well as one yurt tent. The campground is peaceful and quiet, although adjacent to a very busy AFB. Proximity to the base provides access to the base exchange and other facilities, but the quiet location is a recreational retreat centered around several indoor and outdoor gathering spaces such as basketball and outdoor sports, and an indoor game and recreation room complete with crafts supplies for the kiddos and tourism info for the lical area. In the immediate vicinity are the villages of Lexington and Concord as well as the Minute Man National Park and Walden Pond, so the campground makes a great basecamp for exploration of the area’s rich culture and history. You are also not too far from Cambridge, and can easily access Boston from there if you like.

There are several clean modern bath houses, with hot showers and flush toilets. The office staff is very helpful and friendly!

Dogs are welcome too.

The good.....nice level site w gravel base, pea stone around camp, friendly staff, lots to do, clean all around. The not so good....A lot of sites are tight to get in. The lake beach could use a dredge so there is more sand (weedy). Mini golf course needs some upkeep. Overall a nice campground.

Let me start off by saying this place is more of a resort than a campgroung. They have everything from go-kart/kayak rentals to mini-golf/arcade, but it all costs extra on top of the camp ground being pretty pricey, @80$/night for a tent site. On top of that the tenting area of the camp ground is over run with mosquitos , from morning to night they are all over you and I'm pretty sure they are immune to bug spray.

However they have lots of rentals and the campground is more favorable for RVers, with 80% of the sites being for RVs, and the mosquitos not being nearly as bad in those areas. The campground is huge and there's always something going on or to do. I highly recommend this place for their rentals or RVers, but its more suitable for a week than a couple days, otherwise you'll spend all your time just figuring out what there's is to do or how to get around.

I stayed here in mid-July, a week after the holiday weekend. Although the majority of the sites are season, there are about 25 sites available for short-term campers, including a number that are within site of the water(although most of the waterfront in the area is occupied by boat slips, there is a walkway to the beach). Four sites are near the rec hall. Near the entrance are 10 sites(half of them pull-through) that are a combination of grass and shade, near the ballfield. My site was in this area. The sites were spacious and level. Sites T 1-10 tended to have sloped access and sometimes had trees to maneuver around, but I saw large trailers in some of these sites; most had tents. All sites offer water/electric. A dump station is available near the entrance. I had 3 bars of Verizon service.

As a seasonal campground, there are a lot of weekends scheduled throughout the weekend. While I was there, there were organized cribbage& horseshoe tournaments, cornhole, and bingo as well as a potato roast. Most of the seasonal campers have golf carts, so you’ll see them buzzing around the campground and providing seats for tournament viewers. The playground with swings, slides, and a see saw saw a lot of kids action throughout the weekend, as did the tennis court and basketball court. The ballfield was the only area I didn’t see in use.

The beach is sandy with a roped off swim area and raft; a boat ramp gives you a spot to launch. Fishing from the boat ramp area yielded bass and bluegill. Millfoil is a problem in the lake, particularly the southern end, and boats needs to be cleaned to prevent spread.

I wasn’t given a map when I checked in, so I looked it up online to locate the bathroom. Initially I only saw the one nearer the beach, which was a bit of a hike from my campsite. It was also very tight with limited space between the sink vanity and the toilet stalls. There was 1 shower in this area. Closer inspection of the map revealed a second, larger bathroom, that had more space, toilets, and showers. That said, they need to do a better job lifting the mats and cleaning the shower drains so they’ll drain. I was grateful for shower shoes! To turn on the shower, you have to pull on a rope or bar hanging from just above the showerhead. As long as you are pulling the rope, the water is on. I’m not sure a child could reach it. It’s annoying, but it certainly enforces a ship-shower approach to water conservation. If you have a self-contained unit, I'd rate the campground a 4.

You’ll need to call to make a reservation and plan to pay by cash or check; no credit cards allowed. My site was assigned upon arrival; I was able to call just a few days earlier to obtain a site, but the weather was bad leading into the weekend, so that may have affected it.

Seasonal site setups vary from spotless and landscaped to ones that have seen a better day, but as a short-term camper, you really only need to pass by them en route to the rest rooms or the beach. 

There are a couple of restaurants nearby if you want take-out: Rustic Table and A1 Pizza are just around the corner. Pisgah State Park is nearby with miles of hiking trails and ponds.
