Description
A Dream 3 Generations in the Making
An intimate private campground surrounded by 160 acres of wilderness, family-owned and operated since 1978.
In 1978, Kevin McCauley, a college student at the time, stumbled upon the charming town of Hillsborough, NH, near his college. He was immediately captivated by a stunning piece of property nestled in the woods. Despite it being nothing but raw land, Kevin saw potential in its untouched beauty and decided to purchase it. As years went by, Kevin pursued a career in architecture and home building, skills that would eventually allow him to transform this raw land into something remarkable.
With a vision to share the natural beauty and serene landscapes of southern rural New Hampshire with others, Kevin meticulously developed the property into a campground and rural vacation destination. His goal was not just to create another commercial space, but to retain the land's pristine condition and untouched charm. He wanted visitors to experience the same sense of wonder and tranquility that he had felt when he first discovered the area.
Today, Kevin McCauley's dream has been realized in the form of a beautiful, eco-friendly destination that attracts nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. The campground offers a unique opportunity for guests to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the area, with activities that highlight the landscapes and scenic views unique to Hillsborough. Kevin's journey from a college student enamored by a piece of land to the developer of a beloved vacation spot showcases his dedication to preserving nature while sharing its splendor with the public.
