Self-guided hiking trails allow explorers to follow the river shoreline and meander from the marina to the swimming pool and into the wooded portion of the campground where one of the most intense concentrations of rare plant species in the Bluegrass Region is on display. Our 44-acre property offers immediate access to the KY River, and is within 5 minutes of an extremely quaint downtown area, should you decide to go to town for a meal. Plenty of restaurants for your choosing! 7 minutes away is a Walmart should you forget anything.  Come and relax in our peaceful surroundings. Horses,, goats, mini donkey, peacocks, chickens and more on site and loving attention.. Bring your frisbees, cornhole, and yard games.Please know....we offer a working farm and animals. The donkey brays, the goats chatter, peacocks will sound alarms sporadically. Just a reminder in case the pros of animals being present don;t outway the cons for anyone.

She saw herself sitting beside a large lake under a willow tree, sipping tea or lemonade every afternoon just before her nap. Then one day, a prince came along and said, "As You Wish."

Queenslake is a 140 acre working horse farm with a 40 acre fishing lake with three barns and 30 horse pastures. Trails are located around the lake and through the forest for hiking, jogging, biking, ATV, horses. Great scenery. Awesome sunrises/sunsets.

Nicura Ranch is a horse farm set in rural Berea, Kentucky. We have a small Inn, connected to the barn. The Inn offers 3 large and unique guest suites. Each suite has a patio and interior door leading to the stables. Two of the suites have full kitchens. The barn area also has a lounge where complimentary evening bourbon and morning muffins are offered.while staying with us, guests are welcome to interact with our horses and goats. They can explore the grounds, fish in our fishing pond, relax on the dock or by one of the fire pits.

The town of Berea is full of local artisan shops, and great hiking trails. Though you will feel a world away, there are plenty of amenities and restaurants within 5-10 minutes of our farm.

We are pet friendly, and have a fenced in dog park on property.

Chimney Rock Campground

Since 1987, Elkhorn Campground has been family owned and operated.  We are located in the capital city of Frankfort, Kentucky on the banks of the Elkhorn Creek.  The park is open from April 1st thru October 31st each year.  Limited camping sites are available during the winter months.  There are 125 sites in the park of which 109 are paved.  Sixty-one sites have full hookup, including cable TV.  Extra long pull thru sites are available for big rigs and campers that are towing.

We are a family oriented campground with amenities to meet each family member's needs.  Everyone can cool off at the pool, or perhaps enjoy a quick game of putt-putt.  The campground also has horseshoes, volleyball, and basketball courts available for the young and old.  Children can enjoy the large playground including swings, slides and other equipment located near the general store.  Hand-dipped ice cream is always a treat after a day of fun in the sun.  Dinner can be a quick "catch" from the Elkhorn Creek with a relaxing game of shuffleboard as the sun sets. 

A pavillion is available that seats 200 people for camping clubs.  A huge fireplace and portable walls help keep the chill off on cool evenings in the fall.  A mini-arcade is also available in the pavillion.

Sites can be rented on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.  There are limited monthly sites available in the park.  Call ahead for reservations for your next family get away.

Of the six parks in the Bluegrass State, Mammoth Cave is the only true national park. This area of southwestern Kentucky holds the best outdoor activities to be found in the state.

There are a large number of campsites across a few campgrounds, and Mammoth Cave Campground holds most of them. Both Mammoth Cave and Maple Springs Campgrounds are accessible for RVs. Backcountry camping is also available for interested hikers. The caves are, of course, the big draw, and no matter where you stay, you should take a cave tour. Since there are no nearby forests or BLM land, the best camping near Mammoth Cave National Park is fairly far away at the Green River Lake Wildlife Management Area.
