Best RV Parks & Resorts near PSICC, KS

Cripple creek Rv park was very conveniently located just 2 blocks behind casinos . Great views . Most people here are long term. As a matter of fact no line else checked I or our when we were there. Make sure to call the day of arrival to confirm site number the are old school and no emails or txt . No paper or board for late night check in with direction for site . We got there late it was raining and thank you for nice level site . Overall if you are looking to do some gambling and see the site it works as a home base .

Total charge was $101/night with fees. $7 reservation fee (I called in) and $6.40 credit card fee. 

Feel free to think I'm paranoid but I absolutely did NOT like that we were required to allow them to copy our driver's license. In 12 years of RV'ing I've never seen this. The desk promised to shred the ID copy after we left or return it to us (when we left the clerk was confused about giving it back). 

SIX pages! of legalese rules you have to sign that are obviously not being enforced anyway and appear to be focused on long term guests.

If there had been other options for a last minute stay I would have left, but they probably would have kept my money. Cancelations <72 hours before is NO REFUND. 

Sites are adequately spaced and are neat and clean. Some small trees (fairly new park). Very nice paved roads and gravel sites but really just a parking lot. Some long term guests. 

No picnic table or fire ring (wood fires not allowed in any case). 

As with most "RV Resorts" describing it thusly is an exaggeration. 

Gate code required for entry, difficult to see screen in sunlight. 

Fees charged to accept packages.$1.50-$5 depending on size. 

Two dogs under 25 pounds each are allowed.

Lots of long term residents here. Great location. Lots of amenities.

The only thing missing was space between you and your neighbors. Full hook ups. Pool. Showers. Store. Level pads. Just too close to the next family.

We enjoyed our stay at the Royal Gorge RV Resort. The new owners were in the process of updating the bathhouse which will look beautiful from what I could see! The sites were level and well-kept. The camp store was well stocked with firewood, camping supplies, a s’mores bar, cold drinks and lots of Colorado made items. The view from the hot tub was amazing! The fire pits on the patio were cozy and inviting. The location was perfect, close to the Royal Gorge bridge, rafting in the Arkansas River, hiking trails, the Royal Gorge Route Railroad and several great restaurants. The playground was very kid friendly and the giant jumping pillow was super fun! We are already planning our next visit!!

As one of the only campsites with vacancies at last minute, this was a great spot to stop. Super close to pikes peak entrance and town, but still quiet. Super packed, lots of long term tenants. GREAT SHOWERS & laundry!

At it's finest! This is really a great location and campground for long term stays. In spite if the numerous hailstirms in the area, this site is fabulous!! A was here for 2 months and found the site to be well maintained and patrolled. Staff were always friendly and helpful. most sites are well shaded and well drained during rain storms. Also, be sure to see the May Tropical Museum while you are there.

Not very nice. We paid extra for a river soy and it wasn’t worth the extra cost. Spots are TIGHT. We had to work so hard to get out trailer in. It’s pretty cramped all around actually- too close to the neighbors and not very many amenities.

Not bad overall, but I think if we return to Colorado Springs, we could find better.

Convenient location to Cripple Creek CO. Mountain views. Situated on meadow hillside. Hiking trails, full hookups, fire rings with grills, picnic tables. Level sites with many pull thrus. Helpful owners. Sparkling bathrooms. Individual showers. Laundry rooms. Hummingbirds everywhere.

As I write this review, a fellow camper scurries past my open window about two feet from my face. Whoa. Good morning. The air is crisp, people are up early strolling with their dogs and the vague sounds of local traffic mix with the sounds and smells of bacon. The sites are tidy, clean, and sport full hookups. Not much to complain about, well, except for that social distancing thing. Even pre-Covid, the personal space here is very limited. Unfortunately, the advertised photos don’t represent the majority of the rv spaces. The staff is extremely friendly, and you really can’t beat the location with such great proximity to Manitou. For $75/night, we expected a bit more elbow room... just know before you go.

This campsite cost us $41 for one night in a tent sight. The sights were very close together with few trees for shade and privacy because of it. Luckily it was not very crowded on our side of the very large campsite. They do however have Wi-Fi and running water for toilets and showers. They have short hiking trails with beautiful views of the land and mountains. Fishing licences are available upon request for their small but full lake, however if you already have an state fishing licence you will have to purchase another one through them because they do not accept the state licences. A separate area for pets to run and play is also available at the back of the park, but otherwise, like most campgrounds, pets are required to be leashed. Long term camping is available here with many full timers helping out around the site. Very clean all around.

We wanted to be close enough to family, hiking and biking, and get a monthly rate during our stay this summer. This is apparently a struggle in the Colorado Springs area during the popular summer season.

The people who run the campground are an older couple and very nice, but somewhat disorganized. They were confused about our reservation, and accidentally overcharged us. No problem with a refund or our reservation in the end – just make sure you confirm everything if you decide to stay here.

The office/camp store is in disrepair. The park itself is a little run down, with a few recent looking upgrades mixed in (shower house, new chairs at each campsite). The worst part of being here IMO is the rigs that are obviously long term and look it, e.g., makeshift DIY winterization like plywood skirting.

Unless you get one of the spots in the back of the campground, all you see are these run down rigs. Not the mountains.

It's depressing.

There's moderate road noise from Highway 24. A white noise machine helps here.

There are picnic tables at each site, on concrete slabs. The one at our site was unfortunately sitting in mud, because the slab is too low and everything drains there. It's also adjacent to some sort of open drain, which doesn't help.

The maintenance guy came and shoveled the mud off the slab after we let them know we were moving the picnic table out of the mud. The next day it rained and the mud was back. By then I realized I didn't want to spend time outside in this park, at least not at the site we're in.

Nice RV park but not much to it. They have some picnic areas and a few other things.

This place is the epitome of ghetto , 98% of residents live there permantly ,the night we got there the water was frozen at the hydrant we didn't have water for weeks the next day we were headed  to shower and the manager Ronda was yelling from her house totally intoxicated saying we can't use the showers they are for cabin and tent sites only but the website advertised restrooms and showers but they don't tell you till you get there. The owner Duane came knocking late at night also intoxicated or high maybe both yelling saying not to hook up to the hydrant untill we winterize it,  this hydrant was a shared hydrant with the trailer behind us and we learned they have been living there for over a year they should have been responsible for winterizing it . We had to drive 10miles to the truck stop and pay 12.00 to shower. We were there for a job the other RV parks were 30 miles out of town. We also we informed that that hydrant has froze several times in the past and they were trying to blame us  and said we owe them 275.00  and we never had water the total duration of our stay .Duane is a crook . They wanted to charge some one for their negligence . Drive the extra miles to the KOA they are professional and care about the condition of the park .

Very Clean and convenient location to Colorado Springs. Thought highway traffic noice would be a problem but, could not tell rv park is next to the interstate. Tent camped here and they have special raised beds with pavilions for tent camping.
