Imagine waking up to the beautiful view of Pikes Peak (14,115 feet above sea level), the most visited mountain in North America. Visit Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds (try the Bat-a-Pult ride!), and other area attractions. Stay in a fully equipped Cabin, pitch a tent or pull into an RV Site (including extra-large sites). If you are planning a rally or family reunion, this KOA has a hall for those scrumptious potlucks or have them catered by the staff. During the summer, enjoy our splash park, take a dip in the heated pool, or relax in the hot tub. Pets will have a great time being with their families, meeting new dogs, running in the dog park, or trying out the agility park. With so many things to do at KOA and in the area, you will want to stay as long as you can! The campground staff looks forward to seeing you. Pool: Open Year Round. Max pull thru 80 feet.

    Lake Meredith Camping

Beware of This Loud and Chaotic Campsite

I recently camped near a couple who made the experience quite unpleasant. First, there’s the constant, heavy use of cannabis—while not an issue for everyone, it was overwhelming at times. They also had eight dogs that were continuously barking, making it impossible to find any peace and quiet.

The vehicle they arrived in seemed suspicious, too. The tag on the travel trailer says "in transit," but the plates are from 2018, which felt a bit sketchy.

And then there’s the woman, who was constantly yelling at her phone, seemingly about online trolls. This went on day and night, making the entire experience unsettling.

If you're seeking tranquility or a peaceful connection with nature, I'd recommend steering clear of this area if you see them camped out. Or call the police.

    Secluded sites along creek

Drove ~3 miles along the service road to find our spot, it was the second pull off “open-area” with several fire pits to choose from. Road was a little bumpy but would be fine with a 2WD. Gorgeous, secluded spot next to the creek. No Verizon service.

    Last minute slept in car

Place was quiet, besides animals. Pulled over and parked for the night. It was chill no one bothered us. Shell casings everywhere, seems like we always wake up and find out we're in a shooting range. Saw some tracks, bear maybe? Kept the doors locked.

    Don’t Pass Them Up!

This was my boys and my time first “real camping” with a tent and this was the perfect campground to get started with! Staff were super friendly. Site sells firewood and kindling, every site had its own fire pit, and amazing views were present at every area on camp. Showers and toilets were a little old but were clean and well maintained! Don’t pass this one up!

    great spot by creek

loved this spot even stayed a couple extra days right by nice size creek the cooler weather was nice and meant not alot of bugs. more traffic on road than expected but not bothersome. people close by but not close enough to hear or bother you in anyway. site was clean. there were more shaded ones but we chose next to water. were a couple empty close by on a holiday weekend.

    Last Minute

We had to change plans last minute and arrive here on short notice. They had sites to accommodate us and they were very welcoming. This was hands down the nicest privately owned rv park/campground we have ever stayed at! The bathroom suites have recently been remodeled and they are so nice! Best shower of our 10 day road trip. Nice laundry facilities, community rec room, hot tub, and even a hiking trail to the top of the mountain. Highly recommend.

    Peaceful and Secluded

Came mid August. Arrived about 5pm on a Saturday and there were a handful of spots left. I was right next to the river. Had 2 groups close to me that I could see, but it wasn’t an issue. Easy enough to get to.

    Great spot near Co Springs

What a great find close to Co Springs. It’s about 30-40 minutes south, and you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere! A perfect alternative to the crowded campgrounds nearer to the city. The sites are nicely spaced, especially the pull-thru where we stayed. Owners are friendly and helpful, and overall it was super quiet. Phone service was spotty, but there was decent WiFi. We especially enjoyed watching the many hummingbirds zipping about. We would definitely return if we’re back in the area. Thanks for a great stay.

    Beautiful park with great hiking

Spent one night here. Beautiful park with great hiking trails and full hook ups. Up on the side of a mountain overlooking Colorado Springs. Went to sleep hearing taps and was woken up hearing reveille. Also was visited by several jets from the nearby army base. Spaces were very nice and level and were oncrete with a picnic table. My only two complaints was you had to pay an extra $10 to get into the park even though you paid &46 to camp there and the road up to the campground for about a mile and a half was pretty steep, probably 8 to 9% grade. Watch your brakes coming down.

    Convenient location

Cripple creek Rv park was very conveniently located just 2 blocks behind casinos . Great views . Most people here are long term. As a matter of fact no line else checked I or our when we were there. Make sure to call the day of arrival to confirm site number the are old school and no emails or txt . No paper or board for late night check in with direction for site . We got there late it was raining and thank you for nice level site . Overall if you are looking to do some gambling and see the site it works as a home base .

Site jacked .. but great overall !

When arrived at prairie ridge were we had reservations and our site was already taken . The camp host happened to drive by and contact a Ranger for us the other person for site 256 and 258 mixed up .. we agrees to just swap sites for the weekend and Al worked out (the other site was a bit nicer it had tree coverage ). Sites were huge but took some leveling . We caught a few small catfish and got to take in the beautiful lake .

    Colorado Springs Best Kept Secret

One of the cutest, cleanest, campgrounds we’ve stayed. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. We stayed in one of the pull through sites and found it to be spacious with everything working as expected. Only minor knock was the cell service which was nonexistent but they did have free internet which was a satisfactory alternative.

    Yucca Flats 416 - GREAT!

Northern Plains campground, Yucca Flats. Great little spot. There is plenty of room for our 30-foot trailer. Electric hook-ups only, 20, 30, and 50 amp. The picnic table had a nice metal shade. Fire pit. Spot well groomed and clean. Small Russian Olive tree, minimal shade.

About a five minute walk to the lake, great little Cliff side fishing spots. Batbroom a 2 minute walk, free showers, and clean. Spot had plenty of room to also park a RAM 2500.

Temperatures got upward of 99+ when we were here, so if you're tent camping in late July, be prepared!

Lake Pueblo is huge, with multiple boat docks, beaches, and places to swim and explore. If you like lakes, this is a great place to visit!

    Quiet and beautiful

There was nearly no one else camping here. It was beautiful. It is more open with little shade but we had storms so it was just fine. The sites are quite close to each other, but that was fine with a nearly empty campground. The site we stayed at was right next to the day parking lot so it might be a little busy if it’s a weekend or holiday. Toilets were clean. I liked it here a lot and will definitely visit again.
