Multiple reviewers note the ground is uneven enough to make sleeping difficult in anything but a truck or van, and one flags a sharp approach from the east that rules out large rigs. Cell service is reliable on Verizon. Shell casings and occasional trash left by previous visitors are part of the reality here, though at least one camper made a point of packing out a bag of litter. Road noise from the nearby interstate is a factor some nights, while others report it fading by the time they turned in.

Campers who have parked parallel to the water report the position helps with leveling and puts them close enough to hear the river.
