FAMILIES STAY AWAY CHILD SEX PREDATOR IN A POSITION OF TRUST !!

Let this Friday the 13th be a day of revelations. Allow me to introduce to you the real Marizadeb Fisco Elefante, who completely disregards the safety of the children who live and visit her family owned Fountain Creek RV Park. As the owners, Marizadeb( co-owner of Soluna Mind& Body 3945 N Academy Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80917) and her husband Dwight Elefante are fully aware that they employ a 3 time convicted child sex offender Leo Wayne Gourdin(SOTAR public information). Neither one sees a problem with allowing a child sex predator to greet and interact with the public every weekend. Several residents of the RV park raised their safety concerns to Marizadeb about a year ago& it was almost as if she refused to acknowledge the fact that there is a real problem going on and continued to keep him employed till this day. Her exact words to an ex-employee of hers who quit as she refused to work alongside a child sex offender was that“ Leo isn’t the worst of the worst”. She feels compelled to make sure Leo Wayne Gourdin stays employed so he can live rent free. Instead of being concerned for all her residents who do not want to live alongside a child sex predator who is currently on parole for said crimes. Much less have that child sex predator come to your spot every weekend to remove your trash. Not to mention the unsuspecting traveling families with children who expect to stay at a safe place. Little do they know that she is fostering the environment for him to thrive in. Well let me tell you something Marizadeb, there is no subcategorization when you have harmed those who can’t defend themselves. For her to stand and support a pos like Leo Wayne Gourdin and provide him the opportunity to be in a position of trust, makes her a despicable human being. Marizadeb has no moral compass! She is the only person in a position to do something about the problem she herself created. Yet she refuses to do what is right. I ask you if this is the type of a person you want to surround yourself with. Is she the type of person you trust to guide you or empower you in any way? Marizadeb doesn’t seem to be able to distinguish what is right from wrong. You have a right to know. Leo isn’t the only example of the owners not caring about their business or their customers. I had another one of her employees empty all the diesel fuel out of my truck while it was stored at her storage lot. When I went to talk to Marizadeb about the theft it was like talking to the wall. There was no empathy, no resolution, no customer service skills at all. When my husband spoke to her husband Dwight Elefante the situation was more grim. Dwight also was no help. They don’t have a backbone, the only thing they care about is taking your money. They are the true definition of“slumlords”. But don’t take my word for it. I invite you to stop by and see for yourself the condition Fountain Creek RV Park is in.

    Don’t Pass Them Up!

This was my boys and my time first “real camping” with a tent and this was the perfect campground to get started with! Staff were super friendly. Site sells firewood and kindling, every site had its own fire pit, and amazing views were present at every area on camp. Showers and toilets were a little old but were clean and well maintained! Don’t pass this one up!

    great spot by creek

loved this spot even stayed a couple extra days right by nice size creek the cooler weather was nice and meant not alot of bugs. more traffic on road than expected but not bothersome. people close by but not close enough to hear or bother you in anyway. site was clean. there were more shaded ones but we chose next to water. were a couple empty close by on a holiday weekend.

    Last Minute

We had to change plans last minute and arrive here on short notice. They had sites to accommodate us and they were very welcoming. This was hands down the nicest privately owned rv park/campground we have ever stayed at! The bathroom suites have recently been remodeled and they are so nice! Best shower of our 10 day road trip. Nice laundry facilities, community rec room, hot tub, and even a hiking trail to the top of the mountain. Highly recommend.

    Peaceful and Secluded

Came mid August. Arrived about 5pm on a Saturday and there were a handful of spots left. I was right next to the river. Had 2 groups close to me that I could see, but it wasn’t an issue. Easy enough to get to.

breathtaking & plenty of tucked away spots

probably one of my favorite spots along the road trip. multiple really rad drive through tunnels and towering canyon walls that blew me away. got there after dark and took and it's definitely a popular place so I would recommend getting there with some day light left. a smidge chilly during the night but does heats up quick. would absolutely come back again!

    Great spot near Co Springs

What a great find close to Co Springs. It’s about 30-40 minutes south, and you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere! A perfect alternative to the crowded campgrounds nearer to the city. The sites are nicely spaced, especially the pull-thru where we stayed. Owners are friendly and helpful, and overall it was super quiet. Phone service was spotty, but there was decent WiFi. We especially enjoyed watching the many hummingbirds zipping about. We would definitely return if we’re back in the area. Thanks for a great stay.

    Beautiful park with great hiking

Spent one night here. Beautiful park with great hiking trails and full hook ups. Up on the side of a mountain overlooking Colorado Springs. Went to sleep hearing taps and was woken up hearing reveille. Also was visited by several jets from the nearby army base. Spaces were very nice and level and were oncrete with a picnic table. My only two complaints was you had to pay an extra $10 to get into the park even though you paid &46 to camp there and the road up to the campground for about a mile and a half was pretty steep, probably 8 to 9% grade. Watch your brakes coming down.

No paper or board for late night check in with direction for site . We got there late it was raining and thank you for nice level site . Site jacked .. but great overall !

When arrived at prairie ridge were we had reservations and our site was already taken . The camp host happened to drive by and contact a Ranger for us the other person for site 256 and 258 mixed up .. we agrees to just swap sites for the weekend and Al worked out (the other site was a bit nicer it had tree coverage ). Sites were huge but took some leveling . We caught a few small catfish and got to take in the beautiful lake .

    Colorado Springs Best Kept Secret

One of the cutest, cleanest, campgrounds we’ve stayed. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. We stayed in one of the pull through sites and found it to be spacious with everything working as expected. Only minor knock was the cell service which was nonexistent but they did have free internet which was a satisfactory alternative.

    Beautiful, but Far from Pristine.

Absolutely beautiful area! We pulled in on a Friday evening with thunderstorms all around. There were plenty of sites available when we showed up, but they were all full by Saturday morning. We weren’t able to get one of the spots near the creek, but had our own hidden ravine tucked away on the left side of the road. I believe it was the 3rd to last pull out and the last one on the left side of the road. Stunning… but the smell from previous campers unsuccessfully trying to burn their trash in the fire rings (thankfully we brought our solo stove to cook on) and all the litter was a bit overwhelming. Broken glass, toilet paper/feces not buried, cigarette butts, and just trash everywhere. Unfortunate for the area, our spot was the cleanest one we came across. We took some walks past others near the creek that looked like they had just hosted full on frat parties.

It was just super unfortunate and disgusting to go to such a beautiful area and have previous campers all but ruin it for us.

    Yucca Flats 416 - GREAT!

Northern Plains campground, Yucca Flats. Great little spot. There is plenty of room for our 30-foot trailer. Electric hook-ups only, 20, 30, and 50 amp. The picnic table had a nice metal shade. Fire pit. Spot well groomed and clean. Small Russian Olive tree, minimal shade.

About a five minute walk to the lake, great little Cliff side fishing spots. Batbroom a 2 minute walk, free showers, and clean. Spot had plenty of room to also park a RAM 2500.

Temperatures got upward of 99+ when we were here, so if you're tent camping in late July, be prepared!

Lake Pueblo is huge, with multiple boat docks, beaches, and places to swim and explore. If you like lakes, this is a great place to visit!

    Quiet and beautiful

There was nearly no one else camping here. It was beautiful. It is more open with little shade but we had storms so it was just fine. The sites are quite close to each other, but that was fine with a nearly empty campground. The site we stayed at was right next to the day parking lot so it might be a little busy if it’s a weekend or holiday. Toilets were clean. I liked it here a lot and will definitely visit again.

    Late July camping trip

I’m a rooftop tent camper and the views are amazing but was hoping to be close to the water and isolated from other campers. Definitely was isolated and found one spot that worked out well for rooftop camper. Like 14 miles on dirt road, on the right, 20 feet before a sign that reads “leaving public land.” Had fire ring and more than enough room. About 20 yards away from creek. Quiet. No Att cell service but don’t expect anyone can get service in that canyon.
