RangerBathrooms were very nice and clean. Lots of sites with minimal privacy. Pretty packed and noisy in October. Our site had electrical hookups and its own water. Picnic tables and fire rings available as well. Looks like a very family friendly campground. Stayed one night.

Sites were sloped, we took the flattest one we could find and it took 6” to block our van level.
Pit toilets were very clean.
Sites had trees and boulders, spaced roughly 50’ apart, but there visible traffic on the main road below.
It was a nice campground but we liked the Bobcat Campground a couple miles farther up the road.

ScoutLake Wellington is a beautiful family and dog friendly campground just about 90 minutes from Denver. There are 75 sites, and even when it's pretty full they are decently spaced out that you don't feel too on top of other guests. We brought our dogs and a group of friends and had a great few nights, even seeing Bald Eagles mating!
TravelerIf you are going to camp at a lakefront spot definitely have something you can sit in else you will be attacked by flies. Super quiet during the week - got busy over the weekend.

Within the time I was there, we had a stalker( mar- may), a theif, a overdosed body( mar 7), a trailer firer( aug), health department investigation( aug) A drug raid( july) it all public information, police blotter? The owners were never around nor asked questions or concerns.( 11-2 mon, we'd, fri if lucky). Probably building there mansion in Longmont or in Missouri probably running there tax free business... The showers and bathrooms along with around the park. there great. Even if we have spending 1$ per min. They do have an amazing maintenance manager who is worth more then, cause he know and dose EVERYTHING. He been with them for years. The rest of the park not so grat, NOTHINGbut dirt road, pot hole ends up very muddy. Most tenant start off nice, but once ginger and Amanda get there venom into them turn in to snakes. I
LegendThis place is right in woodland park under the shadow of pikes peak. Quick access to food shopping and supplies. You have the choice of little cabins or standard motel rooms. If you head out the back of the parking lot you can walk around woodland park and see the deer in town. Cool location

GuideAfter months on the road this is what I would consider a real campground , as opposed to an open field or RV parking lot. I would have rated 5 stars except that sites on the street can have road noise, also sites on the fence line are looking at a warehouse. Also leveling is needed so bring blocks. Good spacing between sites and lots of mature trees. Sites are irregularly spaced and at different levels (it’s hilly) which adds to the campground look and feel. No problems with placement of hook ups. Bathroom and showers very clean, laundry available. Wi-Fi was very inconsistent. Office staff nice and had everything ready when we arrived. Had an interior pull thru site. Daily visits by various wildlife, magpies, mule deer. Groceries and restaurants nearby if needed. Easy enough to get to Manitou Springs , Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, and other cool Places. I’m keeping this on my list for next time.
