TravelerMid August, site is just off the dirt road. Enough room for about 4 rigs/tents. Nice tree cover and an established fire pit. Ok view of the mountains but the trees block most of it. Lots of bees and hornets swarming.
TravelerNot a bad campsite for an impulsive solo campers first outing. One way though the camp ground. Restrooms had running water and were a short 50 yard walk from my campsite. Rangers rounded fairly frequently during quiet hours. Bear vault to have all your foods stashed close by if you didn’t want to leave in vehicles. Hot (it is July after all).
ScoutThere’s a sign on a board as soon as you arrive that says no OVERNIGHT camping. Resting for a nap might be ok but beware about overnights!

TravelerGreat site that is right next to the creek for the kids to explore. Lots of flat spots for tents, but also a nice big flat spot for the van. The road is easy to navigate for 2wd vehicles.

TravelerWe spent two nights at East Fork Campground in site 11. The campground is very clean and peaceful. The sites have good privacy. Site 11 is next to the east fork of the San Juan River, but you do have to scramble down a pretty steep trail about 40' to get to the river. The water was cold and refreshing! If you follow the road down to sites 20-26, there are trails to access the river that aren't as steep. We could hear the river from our site. The site had a lot of nice shade, and a good picnic table and fire ring. It was also right across the way from the restrooms, which may have been the cleanest vault toilets I've ever seen in a campground. They were spotless and smelled like air fresheners and had no flies! The camp host was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and may come back to stay a few more nights soon!

TravelerAbsolutely gorgeous spot but a little bumpy to get to. If you're ok with driving a couple miles over exposed cobble or have a 4x4 this is the place for you.
