Best RV Parks & Resorts near City of Creede, CO

Antlers Rio Grande Lodge and RV Park, located just outside Creede, Colorado, provides full hookup RV sites with 50-amp electrical service from mid-May through October. The park accommodates big rigs with pull-through sites and includes amenities such as water, sewer, and electric hookups alongside a sanitary dump station. South Fork Lodge & RV Park, situated about 20 miles southeast of Creede, offers similar big-rig friendly accommodations with full hookups operating seasonally from mid-May through October. Several RV parks in the region feature gravel pads with picnic tables and fire rings at each site. Chinook Cabins & RV Park in South Fork provides additional full-service options for motorhomes and travel trailers with both water and electric connections. "The hookups are new but all seem to be placed too far up which requires you to pull your trailer to the end of the site to align hookups; otherwise you will need to run lengths of sewer and electric to connect," noted one RV traveler about a nearby park.

During peak summer months, RV campgrounds in the Creede area fill quickly, making advance reservations essential, particularly for larger motorhomes requiring spacious sites. Cell service varies significantly throughout the region, with Verizon coverage spotty in more remote locations. Most RV parks are seasonal operations, typically closing between late October and early May due to harsh winter conditions. Navigation to some RV sites requires careful planning as mountain roads can present challenges with tight turns and elevation changes. Pet-friendly policies are common across most parks, though specific restrictions may apply. Sanitary dump stations are available at nearly all established RV parks, with on-site propane service offered at select locations. Woods & River RV Park in Del Norte, approximately 40 miles east of Creede, maintains facilities including showers, toilets, and trash service alongside their full hookup sites.

Dump station available on property too, most spots are full service. Dog friendly and great paths around lake in which to walk your dog. Wifi throughout park and I have two bars of cell service with Verizon.

Lovely site near the Rio Grande

Most sites are Park and walk into fire pit and table area. A few scattered back-in sites. No pull through. Nice wooden picnic tables, men and women’s bathrooms. Level tent sites, water pump on site but nothing available in October. No cell service. Loads of down wood for collection. Close to river access

    Pagosa Riverside Campground

    Family campground

We lucked on a pull through spot without reservations, very friendly office crew drove us to the spot. Full hookups & Wi-Fi. Right on the river with benches spread out to enjoy the scenery. Small little pond people were fishing not many catching. The sites are pretty close together but do come with picnic table and fire ring. Very close to town fun little place

    Ouray KOA Holiday

    Quaint and quiet

Stayed at a small back-in site with 30 amp & electric in our camper van. The site had a fire ring, grill, and picnic table. Loved that they had a store, laundry room, and firewood for sale. The store closes at 5:00 & we arrived at 5:10 but the office lady still checked us in and made sure we had firewood. The campground is well-maintained and clean.

    Ouray Riverside Resort

    Beautiful Ouray

Nestled in a valley with beautiful view next to Uncompahgre River with wonderful walking path. Gravel parking right off hwy 550. Laundry, showers, restaurant. Primitive cabins and fully equipped cabins. Very friendly staff. Pet friendly. Close to uptown shopping and eating & grocery store. Pull thru and back in sites. Overflow parking for extra vehicles for a charge. Down side-you have to trailer to trailheads for SXS riding. Most tail heads are small parking areas but the riding in the mountains is priceless. Been here twice, same site and would go again.

    Little Molas Lake Campground

    Poplar picturesque site

6/28/22 - 7/12/22: This was a nice retreat for us. It is a very popular place on the weekend, but during the week it is much quieter. Most of the weekend traffic is heading to the trailhead for hiking or biking. There are 8 sites here, several large enough for my 34’ fifth-wheel trailer, one is a pull-through with two sites. Vault toilet, no water or dump station. There was 1-bar 5G Verizon, and 2-bars AT&T 4G that were both spotty; cloud cover between the lake and Silverton caused occational intermittent connectivity. Elevation is about 10,300 and posed a problem for our generator that caused severe spark-plug fouling. But, re-jetting the carburetor from a #61 to #58 solved the problem.

The Last Resort RV Park & Campground

    Very peaceful, beautiful location

The Last Resort RV park  is hidden into a very peaceful valley. They are open year round and have River side spots for those under 26 feet long and some very large pull through spots with lots of space. No Verizon cell service and very poor Wifi.  If you truly enjoy your peace and quiet  this is the spot for you. Staff is very friendly.

Blue Spruce RV Park & Cabins

    Beautiful wooded RV campground

We stayed at blue spruce for a week while working remotely which required good cell coverage. We have Verizon and despite having no service on the drive to blue spruce, once we arrived the bars lit up! This campground was great, nice clean grounds, shaded pines every where, a playground, horses, and a short drive down to valicito lake. They have full hookups, a country store, a short hiking trail, games center, and a group pavilion. The only negative thing to say was that many sites were too close to each other... We like our space and are used to state parks. We really loved our stay!
