Cabins had AC but smelled like dust polish. Gorgeous forest views in the shower house. HOT water when shower is on Cold setting. Cold at hot. Cool affordable camp store. Nice people. Too much cinnamon spray in all indoor areas but not cabins. 24 hour rec room w AC and a wall of movies and games and books and cozy couch. Hurricane machine and fresh yummy donuts are not to be missed. My son is Big and found the camp cabin too crowded small and didn't like the leather beds even with our bedding on them. I found it cozy except the polish but couldn't open it up because we wanted the cats indoors here. Great porch swing, nice condition. Microwave and fridge. Friendly staff.

For those coming to the area with their RV in tow options area available for both larger and smaller units with ample spacing between sites to allow for comfort. Tent campers are welcome at this campground with sites including both primitive and improved with amenities standard to the sites including fire rings, picnic tables and common spaces for activities such as pavilions, a pool, laundry facility, restrooms with hot showers and more!!!
An additional feature of this campground is that they offer small cabins on their lower levels of the camping loops. These are prefect for groups which do not choose one of the camping options or who are flying into the Branson airport which is only 12 miles away. This allows those who would like the outdoor feel and experience to enjoy this without having the urban features of the strip of Branson beating on their backdoor at a hotel.
Staff here are very welcoming and friendly. They often offer upgrades to those staying without additional charge when they are not busy or overly booked to encourage people to return on their next trip. This is even echoed in how they answer their phones, very professional and informative!!
The campground feels like an older campground, and not in a bad way. If lacks the overwhelming feel of being modern where everything is branded or looks like a commercial for another attraction. This one instead feels more like a home for the weekend where you can wake up and have your coffee with a neighbor or even just enjoy the sounds of the nature. Because most of the sites have enough distancing, especially on the back loops, you will have a lot more quiet during quiet hours than many of the more packed and close proximity campgrounds which worry more about cramming in campers than the experience itself.
The only downside in my personal opinion, the roadway through camp is in need of improvement. It is narrow at best in some areas and if you were attempting to navigate with a rig that was larger it could become problematic. This is mainly an issue in the rear of the campground and near the cabins, where you wouldn’t need to worry much about larger units.

On-site showers and laundry, RV Dump stations, and a store that offers fishing and camping gear, souveniers and a small selection of food. During the summer, swimming pool is open. Roaring River State Park is home to a Trout hatchery and the river is stocked each evening with trout for fishing the next morning. Sites have fire pits and picnic tables. Handicapped campers will find an accessible site with a large, flat concrete pad, accessible restrooms, and an accessible fishing area.

There are many campsites available in many different areas of the park. Most of the sites are very private, have nearby facilities with showers, fire pits, tables, and trash bins. The sites all have access to trails and are close to water activities. The trails that are available are challenging, offer spectacular views and some history. There is back country hiking available, the park prefers that you register for a permit 24 hours in advance to accessing the back country trails. Some trails available are appropriate for mountain biking, however depending on the popularity of the trail is the level of maintenance that the trail receives. This state park is excellent for families because there are plenty of activities available that interest young kids.
TravelerThe campground is very convenient, off the Passion Play Road in Eureka Springs. We got a deluxe camping spot with its own deck, picnic table and smokeless fire pit. We were careful to get there by check-in time, as you are required to pull to the side of the entrance & hook up there until morning if you arrive late. Seeing some of these campsites, we can understand that policy, as many of them, including ours, has a steep drop off at the back of the parking area and it is really dark after sunset! The hosts were very nice, they have a great laundry/shower house. Hookups worked well, had good WiFi so we could watch our streaming tv at night. Will definitely come back to this park!
LegendGeneral: Located in the Boston Mountains of northwest Arkansas, you can enjoy time off the grid (we had limited cell service when we were at the summit of the Yellow Rock Trail but none in the campground). Limited rainfall resulted in less dramatic (or non-existent) waterfalls that are otherwise boasted of during other times of the year but the scenery was still beautiful, especially in the fall.
Sites/Facilities: Many different camping options (some loops have full hookups while others do not have hookups and there is a dump station near Loop E), a hike-in campground, a group campground, and an equestrian campground. There are also 17 rustic cabins (1-3 bedrooms with kitchens and a/c and heating plus nearby bathrooms). We camped in Loop E and there was reasonable separation between the sites. The pads were paved. Each site had a metal picnic table, lantern hook, and fire grate. Many of the sites provided shade from the many trees.
Bathhouse: Like some other Arkansas state parks, there are two bathhouses in some loops, and they were open on alternating days so that the other one may be cleaned and sanitized (Covid related policy). While the open one in Loop E was clean, the several soap dispensers were empty which does not make sense to me when hand washing is recommended. You also need to bring your own towel, which I have been doing regardless. There are showers but I did not use them so I cannot comment on how good they are.
Activities/Amenities: Hiking! I highly recommend the Yellow Rock Trail and the Devils Den Trail plus there are several others. During the summer, you can rent paddle boats and canoes. There are several areas with picnic tables throughout the park. There is also a swimming pool, although I did not see it when we were there in October(it would only be open in the summer). Firewood is available for sale.

I have been to Devil's Den State Park twice now and this is my favorite state park in Arkansas. Devil's Den State park has something for every camper, no matter how you prefer to camp. Tent camping, hike in camping, RVs, cabins, they have it all. Want to bring your horse, you can do that as well. Devil's Den has some great hiking and mountain biking trails, from short to long. If you only do one trail be sure that is the Devil's Den Trail, you won't be disappointed on this 1.5 mile trail. If you want a longer trail there is the 15 mile Butterfield Hiking Trail. Devil's Den campground includes 135 campsites ranging from basic tent sites to full hookups for the RV crowed and horse sites. Campground are all paved with paved parking pads. Individual sites have tent pads, picnic tables, fire rings and a first for me, hooks for hanging your lantern. Flush toilets and showers are included. If you like to swim they even have a pool. Park has a store to provide your food needs. Sites all appeared to be well spaced. If you want complete privacy the word is get one of the walk in sites, you will have a bit of a walk but the reward is complete solitude. Lee Creek runs through the park and a 8-acre lake which allows fishing and boating with canoes and pedal boats. You need to reserve your site before hand or at the visitor center. One thing I do like is if you arrive to late to register at the visitor center, then you can just grab an empty site for the night, you just have to register the next day by 10am.
